Maya's POV

Well today is the day! Today is the day I graduate high school! I leave one prison to go to another!(Why do I do this to myself?) Anyways I'm over at Riley's house and we are hanging out before I go back home to get ready. Anyways Riley and I are just talking like normal and suddenly I feel the urge to puke. So I run to the bathroom and vomit in the toilet. Riley holds back my hair and then I go to the sink the wash my mouth. We go to the bay window and...

Riley: Peaches are you ok?

Maya: Yeah just I felt weird.

Riley: Are you sure you aren't?

Maya: No Riley, I'm not.

Riley: I'm just asking...

Maya: I mean I couldn't be, right?

Riley: Well have you had sex?

Maya: No. Not anytime recent.

Riley: Ok that's good, WAIT WHAT DO YOU MEAN NOT RECENT?!!

Maya: I'm kidding, I haven't had sex.

Riley: Are you sure?

Maya: Positive, I mean we've kissed and made out but, I stopped before we got any further.

Riley: Well then you know, you aren't pregnant, right?

Maya: Of course.

Riley: Good.

(We sit there in silence for a couple of minutes till finally.)

Maya: Can you believe we are graduating?

Riley: I probably won't realize it until I'm in college, with you!

Maya: Yeah, me too.

Riley: So did you and Lucas check out apartments?

Maya: Yeah we found a really nice one. It small and really kept up nicely. And it's right across the street from the dorms and campus.

Riley: Well then it's sounds great!

Maya: Except...

Riley: Except what?

Maya: It doesn't have three bedrooms.

Riley: Well the babies don't need their own room.

Maya: I'm not talking about them. I'm talking about Hopalong and me.

Riley: Oh! Well I think that is the best you are going to get. I mean it's super close to campus, where I'm living, Lucas's mom's place, and my parents!

Maya: I know but I don't want us to be in the same room sleeping on the same bed.

Riley: I know but then at least you know what he's doing every minute of every day.

Maya: True!

(Topanga comes in and tells me Lucy is here to pick me up.)

Riley: Alright well I'll see you later Hart.

Maya: So long Matthews!

(We hug and I crawl out the window.)

Riley: Hey.

Maya: What?

Riley: I thought you were walking out the front door.

Maya: I'm going down like old times.

Riley: Ok, I'll see you later.

Maya: Bye.

I crawl out and then I climb the ladder up to my old house where I used to live. The curtain was open and I saw a mom and a daughter dancing around with each other. It reminded me of what my mom and me used to do. I think of what has happened over the last couple of years. And then I tell myself how I wouldn't change a thing.

I crawl back down the ladder and step down to the street. I walk over to where Lucy is parked and get in. We drive home and she does my hair and makeup. I put my cap on and look at myself in the mirror. I then walk outside to the living room where Paige takes pictures of me and Lucas. I take a picture with us and the babies and then we go to the school.

My mom and dad were coming down here for this and Lucas's family was here and Kermit and his family too. We had the whole Matthews family there and it was really nice. Zay's family flew down for this and we finally got to meet Smackle's family. Me and Riley took a picture. Me, Riley, and Farkle took a picture. Me, Riley, Farkle, and Lucas took a picture. And finally the six of us took a picture. I took a picture with all of them individually and then headed inside.

This was the first year since forever when we didn't sit alphabetically.(We only had to get our diplomas alphabetically.) So it went Smackle, Farkle, Riley, me, Lucas, and Zay. We went through the entire program until finally it was the valedictorian speech. Our valedictorian was Farkle Minkus! He goes up there and this is what he said...

"Dear teachers, staff, faculty, family, friends, and my fellow classmates of the class 2020. These past four years has been a rollercoaster of journeys and emotions. There have been the ups and downs and totally upside down times. There has been laughter and happiness but also tears and pain, probably from the math test we get handed back.

Anyways one of my best friends and fellow classmate of mine, Miss Maya Hunter, came across a quote and shared it with me, "How Lucky am I to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard." I asked her what brilliant scholar wrote this and she replied Winnie the Pooh. It's true, when I started this year as a senior I wanted to be be anywhere but here but now this is the only place I want to be. I was petrified my first day here as a freshman. I walked through those doors and thought I wouldn't survive high school, but look at us now. We made it here.

To conclude I would like to thank you all. To our family, we would like to thank you for putting up with our grumpy and moody moods. To the staff and faculty thank you for taking care of us, throughout all the years. To our teachers thank you for teaching us about life and preparing us for it. Also thank you for teaching us about Belgium 1831. To my friends and fellow classmates, I want to thank each and everyone of you. I want to thank my friends that I have had since I was 6 (looking at Riley and me), to my friends I have know since I was in middle school (looking at Lucas, Zay, and Smackle), and to the friends that have known me for only a short year. You have all played an important part in who I am and who I have become.

There is one last person I would like to thank that is Mr. Matthews. Thank you for teaching us everything we know. Because of you my future will be bright. Finally to the calls of 2020, congratulations, we made it."

Everyone claps and then he returns to his seat. They start giving the diplomas everyone gets in the line and goes by alphabetically. Zay is one of the first ones to get his then it's Lucas, and a couple other people then me. I walk up and grab my diploma and shake Mr. Matthews hand. He says, "I'm very proud of you." I reply, "I'm everything I am because of you." I then walk of and sit back down. Then we wait a while, and finally Riley and Farkle stand up and receive their diplomas. And lastly Isadora Smackle gets her diploma.

We then stand up and through our caps in the air and now we are graduates of John Quincy Adams High School the class of 2020.
