I finished off the rune I was drawing on Simon before turning to Jace.

"We'll be fine Jace. It's just a few small demons, it'll take no time at all."

He looked at me with his golden eyes that once burned with heavenly fire.

"I'm your fiancée, it's my job to worry."

I smiled and kissed him.

"No matter how many times I hear it I will always love hearing that word."

Jace grinned at me, a cocky expression on his face.

"Well after tonight's rehearsal dinner we'll only have under a day until it turns into "husband and wife", don't be late."

With that he kissed me once more and left for probably either the training room or the music room.

"Come on Mrs. Herondale, hurry up."

"It isn't Herondale yet Simon."

"Ah, but it will be soon so I may as well practice to get used to it."

My friend Simon, the human turned vampire turned human turned shadowhunter, had regained nearly all his memories over the past year and a half to two years since the group travelled to hell. Surprisingly, it wasn't too too bad.

As the we reached the park, we headed deep into the trees.

Eventually we came across the sound of fighting. We reached the edge of the clearing to see a very odd scene before us.

Three women were fighting a demon of some sort. It seemed mostly humanoid except for the fact that it was covered in fur an had two large horns on its head. Sort of like the Minotaur from Greek Mythology.

Simon and I each took a tentative step forward only for the woman with choppy brown hair to be thrown clear from the other side of the clearing straight into a tree next to the shadowhunters.

She looked a bit dazed as she got up.

The woman who looked to be of African American descent, and also seemed to be closer to our age, raised her arms and suddenly, a bunch of precious metals and jewels hurtled up through the ground, piercing the demon.

"Hazel! We said no powers." The blonde said.

"Well I'm sorry Annabeth, but there are two mortals over there that could get hurt!!! Besides, I'm only using the powers I've always had!"

The blonde, Annabeth, leaped up and plunged a sword that seemed to be made of some sort of bone into the back of the thing that I was no longer sure was a demon.

I watched as the creature slowly dissolved into a pile of gold dust.

As Annabeth turned to Simon and I, we noticed something that we hadn't before. The blonde was around six months pregnant.

I rushed forward.

"Oh my god! Are you alright? Why were you fighting that bull thing in your condition?!"

She looked at me blankly.

"Don't worry, you will know soon enough shadowhunters. Just keep up with mortal or, as you say, mundane news."

She then proceeded to shift into an owl and flew off. Not long after, the brunette turned into a dove and flew away as Hazel turned into a horse and sped of into the trees.

Well that was odd to say the least.

*Two weeks later*

Jace and I had just gotten back from our honeymoon the day before and this morning I was going to go out with Izzy.

The moment I stepped out of the institute, I stepped on a mundane newspaper. I picked it up.

The headline read "Gods among us" and the picture was of twenty-six people.

As it turns out, gods are real and just two weeks ago, Simon and I met three of them.
