  -time skip about two months-

Pulling my hair up I let out a chough. This was the third time that day that I had thrown up. I took one sip of coffee and I nearly died. Grumbling I went over to the sink and started to brush my teeth. I had to get ready to go. Manning had called and asked, no begged me to go on a mission. I had agreed because Johann had asked if I could help out. But the shitty thing was that I had to go alone. He said that I was the only one who could be of some help and since it was near a desert Abe was unable to come along. It had gotten us into a few arguments, he didn't want me to go but I told him Johann was a friend and I was going no matter what. My bag was packed and I was leaving in a few minutes, Abe refused to come out of his tank to say goodbye so I was kinda pissed. Placing the toothbrush into my bag I turned to leave, only to see Liz standing in the doorway, a baby on each hip. Bella was chewing on her fist while May was chewing on her mother necklace. She had a look of worry on her face but she knew better to address it. Pushing past her I walked up the stairs and out of the house, not knowing when I was going to be back. The van was already waiting for me, so all I had to do was throw my stuff into the drunk and slip into the back so no one would be able to see the true me. I didn't care, glancing out the window I saw the curtains shift and I knew that it was him. Anger flashed through me and I slammed my mind closed, knowing that it would hurt him. Johann placed a hand on my shoulder and I knew I was going to be okay, I was hurt, but it was unfair of me to act in such way. Sitting down I covered my face with my hands and then let out a sigh. Glancing back up I asked,

" Got any tea?"

-later that week-

After we flew to the desert we found that the monster had moved to the mountains, meaning that we weren't going to be going home anytime soon. So we flew to the base of the mountain, trying to get some insight of what the monster could have been, turns out there was a whole group and they were known as the Teihiihan. Cannibalistic dwarves whom moved around going from place to place eating most of the local population before moving to a new location. From what the locals had said they had been surviving because they had been locking themselves into panic rooms made of iron, a natural fairy repellant. Johann and I told the human part of the group to remain behind, knowing that they would most likely slow us down to the point they would be nothing but a bother to us. It was the day before we were going to go up into the mountains and I had yet to contact my family. I missed them all but the person I missed the most was Abe. It was near impossible to sleep at night because all I could think about was the fight we had before I left, it was hard and I spent hours staring at my phone. But now that we were going to face the creatures I knew it would be better if I called and told them what I was facing. After saying goodnight to Johann I made my way to the room I was staying in. After locking the door I knew it was now or never. Dialing the house number I waited for someone to answer each ring my breath seemed to get caught until it picked up.

" Hello, Liz speaking."

Smiling I let out a cough,

" Jeez Liz, sounding so damn formal makes me want to hang up just to piss you off. How are you?"

There was a pause and then a laugh.

" You are such an asshole Eleanor, you know that right? I thought it was the bureau again, but nope. Such a disappointment. I'm good. Red and Blue are out working on building a treehouse for when the girls get older. But I don't think they will be in for a while."

Disappointment filled me, I was hoping that Abe would be in the house, the phone wasn't cordless so Liz would have to go get him. But it was getting late...

" Do you-"

I glanced up, something had scampered across the ceiling,

" Hold on Liz, I will have to call you back."

Then I hung up, closing the phone in my hand and setting it down on the table beside the bed. Pulling out my gun I couldn't help but know what was here. The damn little dwarves were here, they must have known we were going after them. I didn't really have much time to call out for Johann before something hit me hard on the back of my head and I fell to the ground. Nausea coming over me in a strong wave. Then it hit me again and then everything went black.

-Abe's pov-

I walked into the house, feeling waves of worry coming from Liz. When I had spoken up to Red about it he told me to go check it out saying he needed to get his children's playhouse made. I wonder how Eleanor would be like when she and I...I tossed aside that thought. I had hurt her and there was no making up for that for a long while. When I saw Liz I saw her clutching the phone as if it was a life line.

" Liz?"

She snapped her head up to look at me, her eyes were wide with worry.

" Ellie called, wanted to say hi and the she had to go...something wasn't right. I can feel it. Abe she is going against something that might be big enough to scare her. Why else would she call Abe?"

I didn't say anything, fear and worry was filling me with every second. Why was she going up against something that dangerous. Johann should know better, I warned him that if anything happened to her...I couldn't even bring myself to think of that. If anything happen to her all I could ever be able to think about was how the last thing I said to her was that I didn't want to see her until she realized how wrong she was.

" Abe I'm sure she is fine and will call back any minute now. Go finish up with Red and then we can call her back."

Nodding I turned, but then a wave of fear hit me, and it wasn't my own. It was hers. Somehow wherever she was I had picked up on her fear. Turning to Liz I reached my hand out,

" Give me the phone Liz. I need it now!"

She must have read the fear in my face because she nearly ran to give it to me, and within the next second I was ringing her phone. But no answer, so when she didn't answer I called Johann ready to give him a long speech but when he answered he sounded worried himself, almost frantic.

" Mr. Sapian I have to appologize but right now is not the time for you to be calling! Ellie is gone and I know what took her. I will call you later with the details."

Then he hung up, sending me into a panic mode. Something took Ellie and I knew it wasn't a good thing. She could be fighting for her life now and the last time I said to her was something that would most likely to be her last thoughts of me. Turning to Liz I knew what she was going to say and she was right. If I rushed in there now I was only going to cause problems for her.

" Abe, I know that you-"

" I understand Liz. I just wish..."

Then I went over to the kitchen chair and sat down, knowing I wouldn't be able to stand for much longer.

" She will be fine. She is Red's sister for god sake, she will survive anything."

-Ellie's pov-

I let out a yelp, the damn little dwarves thought it would be funny to poke me with the tips of their daggers, laughing at each sound I made. When I got my hands out of the ropes there was going to be hell to pay.
