Wanna Beer?

I was holding Rose on my hip when my phone started to ring, it was an unknown number. Shifting her to my other hip I answered, ignoring the looks I got from the others. They knew better to say anything while I was on the phone.

" Hello?"

" Ah, Eleanor, it iz nice to hear your voice again."

My face split into a grin,

" Johann! It's great to hear from you, how are you?"

There was a pause,

" I am well. Just wanted to check in, make sure that the B.P.R.D is leaving you alone."

" Johann, what's wrong?"

He didn't say anything for a few moments and then the line went dead. Glancing at my phone with distaste I shoved it back into my pocket.

"Mama, he is going to come visit in a bit. I wanna get down."

She kicked her legs, so I quickly set her down and she scampered off. Turning and leaning on the counter I looked over at the three adults staring at me.

" How's the gas man doing Ells?"

Red actually sounded curious, even though he never got along when Johann showed up to help lead the team. I wasn't one to speak, I was also an asshole.

" He just said that he wanted to check that the bureau wasn't messing with us anymore. Then he hung up."

He nodded, turning to pull Liz closer to him.

" That man gave Liz the strength when I was unable to give her any. I owe him a good portion of my life. If he shows up here then he will always have a place here. Hell I will build him his own little house in the back yard...as long as he doesn't walk about here giving annoying advice every three minutes."

I snorted,

" Give the guy a break Red. He is okay, besides you might learn a few things from him."

That earned me a dark look, snickering I started off down stairs, wanting to grab somethings before heading out. I needed to go Christmas shopping before it got too late. The only good thing about working for the B.P.R.D was the fact that I had a nice shinny credit card that was never declined. They wouldn't dare or we would go public with the things they were hiding. A pair of arms wrapped around me and cool lips kissed my shoulder. Smiling and ignoring my skin breaking out into goosebumps I turned. Abe was standing there with a smirk on his face.

" Why should i let you leave? What if I need you when you are gone?"

I shrugged,

" You play with our Daughter, or go for a swim. Teach her how to be an amazing swimmer like you. I need to get some christmas presents."

He raised his eyebrows,

" Without me? What, are you ashamed of your husband?"

I shook my head,

" No. It's called I'm getting you things as well, and these are for Christmas...Besides. It's important that this Christmas is special...it's been hard this time of year without Dad."

Abe's face softened when he heard that. He pulled me into his arms and rubbed my back. Without even meaning to I started to tear up, sniffing.

" Rose will never get to listen to her grandfather talk about the old days, never get to sit on his lap while he reads from his book of stories. It's so not fair Abe!"

" He was dying Eleanor, and he wouldn't have made it any longer than from when Rasputin killed him. He would have been an amazing grandfather to the twins and Rose. He would have said you are an amazing Mother. He loved you Eleanor, and he would have loved our Daughter. Would have kicked my butt for telling you that I loved you sooner, or even that I got you pregnant. But he would have been proud. Now, let Red and Liz babysit. We are going shopping."

His voice was filled with determination and I couldn't help but nod. Let's go shopping.

I stared at all the presents we had just finished wrapping and setting under the tree.

" You think we went a bit overboard?"

Liz asked, her hair was tied up in a bun and she was staring at all the tree. Shrugging I sat down on Abe's lap, leaning back as he wrapped his arms around me. Smiling I took in a deep breath, nothing was going to get my mood to be anything other than cloud nine. The kids were asleep, christmas was in three days, nothing would be able to get my mood to fail.

" So, with you two together, what would you do if you end up having more kids? Do we just add onto the house?"

Red's voice had a teasing tone, but in truth I had no idea. I couldn't get pregnant again...I had gotten the pills before Abe came home so if I ever got over him I wouldn't have to worry about having another kid. Because he was the only one for me. Even with him being home I was still taking them. There wasn't a chance in hell at the moment.

" Well, that's not going to happen at the moment. So thats a question for the future...like in four to five years from now. If that."

Abe just tightened his arms around me, and buried head in the crook of my neck.

" Well, Liz and I have news...we are pregnant."

I felt my face split into a huge grin, jumping up I ran over to them and then hugged Liz tight.

" Congratulations! Although, it wouldn't hurt to go in every few weeks to make sure you're not having another set of twins, if you do then holy cow. We will have lot's of diapers to change. Well by that time it'll be pullups and diapers."

Liz swatted at my arm, but I just laughed it off. Glad that I was on the pill. Five kids running around the house was going to be chaotic.

" I think if you grin anymore your face is going to freeze."

" Oh be quiet you. If you stay horny it's never going to ever go down."

" You wouldn't mind it."

" You are horrible."

" No, I'm Abe. Father of our child."

" Father of our only child if you keep it up."

" I highly doubt....okay okay. Red is giving you a funny look. Better answer his question before I have to."

" What was the question?"

" If you want a beer, but Liz just smacked him. She is obviously worried about your previous problem with the alcohol."

" Yeah, sure. A beer, nice. I want."

" Abe why the hell did you give her the question, I knew you two were talking."

Smirking I winked at Red as I walked over to the Fridge. Grabbing a beer for Red and myself.

" I did it because if I didn't she would have kicked my ass."

Nodding I handed Red the beer and sat back down on Abe. Just as I took a sip three loud bangs came from the front door. Red walked over with a grumble and as he opened the door something flew in. As it hit the ground gas poured out of it. As the room filled up, my first thought was to get to Rose. But as I stood up I was overcome with dizziness and I fell to the ground. As my world went black, a pair of dress shoes came into my field of vision,

" Agent Brooming...you are now being deployed temporarily to solve a case. We are taking these measures due to the fact that you ignored our calls. This is a matter of national safety. Your estimated time of return is seven months. You may have contact here but you may not tell them where you are...."

Then by the blessings from above I finally blacked out.
