About time

-In the morning-

Waking up I had the worst headache, but I remembered my promise to Rose. She was curled up into my side, her hand resting on my stomach and one thumb in her mouth. Her silver hair was covering most of her face, but what wasn't was starting to curl from the warmth. Carefully sliding out from under her, I headed over to the liquor cabinet and grabbed all the bottles. Then I walked out of the room and upstairs to the kitchen, where I pulled all the beers and wine bottles out from the fridge. There I dumped it all down the drain, and that's how Liz found me. I was sitting on the counter dumping the damn stuff down the drain. She took one look at me and then spun around.

" RED YOUR SISTER HAS LOST IT!"

They walked back into the kitchen as I poured the last of the beer.

" My Beer!"

Red complained, but when he realized that all the bottles around me were empty he raised an eyebrow.

" I realized...I can not wait forever, it is not something he would want. My heart is shattered, but I will heal. For my...our daughter I will stop waiting around for him. I will learn to be strong again...to be someone who my daughter will look up to. I am going to go through hell, but it is going to be worth it."

Then I hopped down, grabbing the cans and bottles and headed out side. Going into the field I set them up a great distance away from the house, where I climbed up onto the roof. For the next few minutes I shot at the damn things until they were nothing but shards of metal and glass. Then I headed inside, where I saw that Liz was holding Rose, Grinning I moved to pull her away from her aunt only for her to glare at me.

" Mama, no."

She turned her head, hiding her face in Liz's shoulder.

" Baby...Mommy is okay."

I pulled her from Liz, making her look at my face. Her big eyes looked right into mine and then she started to giggle. I poked her in her belly as I started moving around the kitchen, but then my head started to pound. Quickly setting her down I raced over to the sink and started to throw up. Let the alcohol withdrawal begin.

-time skip about a month-

Slipping on a pair of boots I glanced at myself in the mirror. I looked human for the first time in about forever. I was getting ready for a date...Liz had contacted Johann and asked if there was any single people that would like to date me. One was an human who looked about fifty, while the other was a man that was a freak like me. He was sweet, wanting to actually meet everyone. I was able to take Rose out to the park and he met us there. Rose took a liking to the guy, but she still wasn't completely okay with him. Jackson was a good guy, but he didn't really like the fact that Abe never sent a message to me. But he kept it slow. He was a man who had antlers and deer ears. Almost like the fauns from greek legend, but not goat.

" Mama go again?"

Turning I saw Rose standing in the doorway, her chubby hand had an iron grip on her teddy bear. She had gotten it when she was born, never letting the twins get to it at all. She was like her mom, not wanting to give up what was hers.

" I'm sorry babe, Aunt Liz is going to watch you, is that okay?"

Her little lip poked out,

" NO! DADA WILL BE HOME!"

She then turned away, running out of the room, hearing her little feet hit the stairs as she probably went to the twins. Sighing I sat down on the bed, I was trying to be happy. I was trying to get better, it was slow and I was working on it. But Rose had gotten it in her head that Abe was going to come home. She only knew him for the one day that she was home. There was no possible way she would be able to understand that he was gone. Running a hand through my hair I jumped when I heard my phone go off.

"Hello?"

-Abe's pov-

I was out of the village, the people had wanted to marry into the chef's family because I had defeated the monster. The damn thing was a creature I had no information on, it was like it just popped up out of nowhere. The agents who were with me refused to give me a phone or even paper to write a letter, which was almost maddening. So here I am, sitting in the back of the B.P.R.D truck halfway from god knows where.

" Agent Sapien, we will be departing from the in fifteen minutes. Grab your stuff and prepare to board the jet. We will have you home in about eight to ten hours tops."

I was going home. Just wait for me Eleanor! Just wait!"

-Liz's pov-

I watched as Ellie left with Jackson. He was a nice guy, but something was off about him. He seemed almost possessive as Ellie said goodbye to Rose, who was on my hip at the moment. Tears streaming down her face as she stared at where her mother's car had sat. it was almost heartbreaking to see the little girl so upset.

" Dada here soon."

She whispered, moving around until I set her down on her feet. Then she teetered off to the livingroom, where Red was playing with the twins. Sighing I walked over to the kitchen, grabbing a pan to start making dinner when the phone started to ring. Walking over to it I nearly fell over when I heard the voice on the other end.

" WHAT THE HELL TOOK YOU SO DAMN LONG?"

Abe's stutter came loud and clear through the phone as he tried to explain himself. But I wouldn't let him.

" Do you know where your girlfriend and the mother of your child is? She is on a date with someone. Because Red and I told her to give, up, that you would rather die than ever let her suffer the way she was. She was becoming an alcoholic Abe. Because she was lost without you. Now you have the balls to call?"

There was silence as I tapped my foot, waiting for a good answer,

" I'm almost home. Did Eleanor tell you where she was going?"

" Nope. So you will be spending nice, long overdue, time with your daughter as her mother is out having a nice time with someone who calls after a bit."

He didn't say anything after that so I slammed the phone down, hard. I could feel myself catch fire but it was the least of my problems. Walking into the livingroom I all but glared at Red.

" Guess who called."

His golden eyes met mine, but his were filled with anger and hurt.

" About time...poor Ellie."

I shook my head, calming down enough to pick up Rose, who looked a bit scared,

" No. Poor Abe because when I'm done with him he will be nothing but a fishstick."
