Duty calls / Life update

I was holding my two little girls while Ellie took a nap. They were so small it was a wonder how they were alive. Each only weighed in at about three point thirty three ounces. Glancing down at the two I couldn't help but smile at how cute they were. Violet was holding onto Ferns wrist with her chubby pale hand, while Fern had a grip on Violets blanket. Just looking at the two of them made my heart swell up with pride. My family was growing, I had never even thought I would be lucky enough to have a family, yet here I was. Three beautiful daughters and a wife. It was funny to look back and see how much Ellie and I had changed. She was a woman who used to go on rage fits all the time, and I was the one she always calmed down for. She was the one who made me see that my world was much bigger than the B.P.R.D. She was my world, my sun, moon and stars. And she was the love of my life. I wouldn't know what to do without her. She had ended not being in labor for long with the twins, but they broke a few ribs and caused her to lose a large amount of blood. But when she held them she only smiled. Pain forgotten. Eleanor was a strong woman. I just hope our girls would be just like her.

" Are you thinking cheesy thoughts right now? I'm too tired to look into it right now."

Her voice sounded strained as she attempted to sit up more. Looks like she was awake. Her silver hair was curly from earlier sweat, but to me it was beautiful. She would have to spend a few days healing and gaining back strength before we all headed home.

" Abe. Answer me before I get up and kick your ass."

Snorting, I set the girls into their little clear crib things and walked over to Ellie. Holding out my hand I helped her sit up more and then placed more pillows around her so that she was supported.

" I am thinking about how much you mean to me. I was alone before I met you. I was the only one of my kind and without a family. You, Professor. Broom, Liz and Red were my family for the longest time, but then you gave me a bigger family. You gave birth to my children. I am not alone anymore. All because of you."

Her lips twisted into a smile as she squeezed my hand.

" Blue, you are so damn cheesy. I swear our kids better not be like this or they will have to beat off potential dates with a bat."

A mental image flashed of me chasing after anyone with a gun in hand came to me. It was almost funny if I didn't think of actually doing so. It was debatable. I might actually end up doing that if anyone came after my girls.

" Hun, chill. I don't need your stress right now."

Ellie moaned, punching me lightly on my shoulder and then she winced.

" Maaaaan this is going to suck. They told me no coffee for a month. Not healthy for my heart or something like that. Like Hell. My heart is as strong as Hellboys after four six packs of beer."

Raising my eyebrow I couldn't help laugh. She had some good analogies, but sometimes they were hard to follow. But that was my Ellie. Strong, beautiful and strange. Then in an instant, both girls were screaming.

" Lets go Blue. Duty calls." 

Hello my lovelies!!! I know I updated a few days ago but to me it feels like forever ago. (Also sorry for it being so short both times) I finally graduated High School!! About frigging time right? And on top of that I just turned nineteen on june 2! I am an only lady, right? Nahhhh. Though my friends all called me an old leprechaun.  Well I will be updating as much as I can between going to work with my uncle and then working on selling some of my quilts. (yes I quilt) It'll hopefully all work out in the end. Anywhoooooooo I hope you all enjoyed this chapter and see all you beautiful lovelies in the next chapter!! Lanie~
