"Doctor Young, you have a gunshot victim in the ER," a nurse handed her a folder as she rushed by the nursing station. The hospital was a mad house today, the ER room was almost filled with wounded people or people that was on deaths door. Dr. Young barely had time to touch her coffee or to even put one foot in front of the other.

"Thank you, Kate, you're a life saver"

"I know, now get going" Kate said and Dr. Young Smiled as she took off for the ER. On the way, she read the report; Gender: Male; Age: Estimating 29. Gash wounds on his back, gunshot wound to the head, blood type: unknown, DOB: Unknown, and Name: Unknown.

Gunshot to the head? How in the hell did he survive a bullet to the brain?

Young thought as she opened the door that led to where the patient was strapped to a back board with a neck brace supporting his spine. Kerri did a quick survey of her unknown male patient. His black form fitting T-shirt, no longer a shirt, was sitting in a sad pile in a bag. The E.M. T's had to shred it to get to the wounds on his back and to restart his poor heart. Kerri looked at her patients face and was amazed by his looks.

A black goatee framed his jaw and mouth and his nose looked like it had been broken once. The man's black spiky hair just added to what his build and goatee made him look like, rugged and mean. And his build was very impressive, biceps that looked like he had another arm growing and forearms as solid as a two by four. A chest that looked very solid and a wash board stomach that sported a six pack. She wasn't going to be in the same room with this man when he woke up, not on her life.

Yet the blood-soaked bandage that was wrapped around his head had her double thinking herself. His youthful face pale enough that it worried Dr. Young.

Who in their right mind would shoot someone this young in the head? By the looks of him he might have had it coming though. But he couldn't have he's so compelling and handsome.

"Who reported him? And, how is he?" Dr. Young asked the E.M. T's as she rushed to the gurney to checked his eyes and vital signs.

"A couple of hikers found him lying in the snow bleeding in Bear hollow, there was a young girl with him that was battered, she was dead when the hikers found them. One of the hikers said that this man told him that she was his sister and her name was Lynaya Chambers and for them to take care of her. He went into cardiac arrest on the way here from the lack of blood, we revived him and there seems to be no bullet in the skull and doc, the wound is healing rapidly. You should look, we 're guessing at his age to be around in the mid-late Twenties."

"Get me some X-rays! The wound is healing rapidly?" Dr. Young unwrapped the patients head and noticed that the bullet wound was no longer bleeding.

"This is impossible, no wound can heal this fast, I need to know everything in order to save him. How long has he been out?" Doctor Young asked loudly and the patients eyes fluttered open, his purplish-silver eyes focused on Kerri, Kerri noticed and her heart shuttered and missed a beat. But she couldn't focus on anything except to save him. She watched as his eyes closed and was quickly brought back into action, forgetting about him opening his eyes.

"More than five hours' doc"

"Move him into the ICU pronto and get information on him, I want to know who this man is!" Dr. Young redressed the patients head and went with them into the ICU.

"Where is the X-rays?!"

"Right here doc, we took them when we brought him in"

"Thank you. There's no bullet, where in the hell is the bullet?! This man was shot in the head, why in the hell isn't there a bullet in his brain?!" Dr. Young exclaimed and rushed out the door.
