Nate Young walked into the Regional Medical Center of Idaho Falls looking for his sister. He hadn't seen her forever two weeks and that was very strange since they were as close as siblings could be. If they didn't see each other they called one another and he hadn't gotten a call or was even able to contact her which made him worry about her. Nate had told himself that she was just busy with that man of hers. He felt terrible for thinking that he should have never saved that man's life and taken him to this hospital. Where his only baby sister left worked, Nate chided himself for thinking like that. He was a EMT saving people was in his blood just as it was in his sisters blood.

"Nate.... Nate.... hum earth to Nate Young are you ok?" Nate looked at Katherine Jones, Kerri's best friend walked up to him and snapped her fingers at him. Nate shook his head to concentrate on his sister's friend, surly she would know where Kerri disappeared too.

"Hum---yeah I'm fine, hum hey do you happen to know where my sister is?" Nate asked and Kate looked at him with a didn't she tell you look.

"She's with Damien, she just left with her body guard Ethan, to go meet him," Kate said as a chill slid down Nate's spine and locked his muscles up.

"Body guard?" Nate asked as the chill continued to make him want to shiver.

"Yeah Damien assigned Ethan to her because he was worried about a mental client of his that took off and he was worried that the client would find her and hurt her. But trust me, Ethan was big enough to fight off an army." Kate said and for some reason that didn't help Nate to shake off the chill he had. It had only added to it along with the knowledge that his Vampire hunter training gave him. He had despised that he had to keep that he was a hunter from Kerri, he couldn't tell her what he had gotten himself into the night that their mother had left this world.

How he'd gotten himself into the immortal world he no longer cared for to remember, it was a memory that had haunted him at nights for years now. Waking up in cold sweats, finding himself clutching at the cross he wore around his neck and finding his .45mm pistol with the special bullets to end a supernatural life no matter the type was. Pure or half in the other hand shaking out of anxiety. But why did the name Damien sound so familiar to him?

"Kate, what's Damien's last name?" Nate asked and Kate looked baffled,

"Chambers, why?"

"Just wondering" Nate said but in all that last name scared the living shit out of the Immortal world and him. The twin princes were highly respected and known to be the most ruthless and powerful vampires in the Immortal world. Myth had it that they would kill you in a blink of an eye if you pissed them off and myth also had it that if you pissed one off, you automatically pissed the other off ten folds over. What had his little sister gotten herself into with Damien Chambers? but whatever it was she was likely to be dead within the month.

"Thank you, Kate, I'll try giving her another call" Nate said as he pulled his cell phone out of his pocket. As he waited for the call to be dumped into her voice mail he looked at Suzan out of the corner of his eyes and she had met that look with her own as her eyes flashed to her base form, a mountain lion and then back to her green human eyes. She knew that he was a hunter, but didn't want to tangle with him, since doing that would mark herself as a target. She was smart but he could sense that she didn't like him and she knew it too.

"Don't you dare go after Damien's head, it would hurt you and Kerri more than it would hurt the vampires.

Why should I listen to you, cat, when you're as guilty as he is,"?

"Just so you know bastardo, your sister is Damien's fate. You don't like it take it up fate or whatever and I'm sorry for Kerri's sake, but if you go hunting for Damien I have no choice but to kill you."

"Since when are the shifters in league with the blood suckers?"

"Since they saved my family ass hole, but go after him if you feel like forfeiting your life and Kerri's."

The way Suzan said the last part brought back the chill that had ran down Nate's back earlier. To fight Damien, he would be fighting his baby sister, Suzan's earlier words came back to him Your sister is Damien's fate. Cold dread washed over Nate, his sister would become his enemy.
