"Damien, my son, are you sure about this? Once I do this she cannot go back to being mortal."

"I am very sure of this, I have been going over what it would be like for me to lose her and every time. I do I ache with a pain that racks my body, it feels like she has unlocked my human soul from the cage that the inner beast in me locked up." Damien said as he pointed at his chest and Adarius nodded.

"Bring her to me after she gets off work, but make sure this is what she wants, do not force her. You will lose her even if she survives the change," Adarius said and Damien nodded as he bowed his head.

"Thank you, mother" Damien said over his shoulder, his eyes flashed to blue then back to purple.

His handsome face unreadable, his mood was hidden from the world. Then when he turned his head away it looked like he was bracing himself and then he was gone. Damien took form at the hospital and he noticed a little girl jump at his sudden appearance. Damien looked up at the sky seeking strength and sighed then bent down to one knee and looked into the little girl's eyes. Her mother was on her cell phone not paying any attention to her daughter, but holding her hand to keep her close.

"Mister your eyes are so blue and where did you come from?"

"Little one can I trust you with a secret?" Damien asked and the little girl nodded and he produced a small flower from his sleeve. The little girl gasped.

"I'm magic" Damien whispered into the little girl's ear as he handed the small flower to the girl and she smiled as she took the flower.

"Now this little secret is between me and you okay?" Damien said and the little girl nodded. He stood up and walked towards Kerri's work station and the nurses Suzan and Kate both smiled as they both hollered for Kerri.

"Oh, Kerri my darling your fine-looking man is here for you" they said and Damien heard Kerri's laughter and footsteps coming towards them. He had to grab the desk when Kerri appeared in the door that led to the doctor's office. Damien's control over himself always seems to weaken at the sight of Kerri, Kerri smiled at her friends.

"Checking out my man again huh?" Kerri asked as she walked over to Damien and he wrapped his arms around her waist.

"Hum who wouldn't check Damien out? He's like a freaking Greek god walking among us." Suzan said as she gestured toward Damien with her hand and he smiled at her.

"And I completely cannot see how you can keep your hands off him Kerri, even his freaking smile is alluring and hot."

"I just know how to win over the hearts of feisty women don't I?" Damien said and Kerri, Kate and Suzan smiled at him as they nodded.

"You sure do Mr. Chambers, you sure do." Kate said, then looked past Damien's shoulder and winked. Damien looked over his shoulder knowing that she winked at Ethan.

"It seems to me that I'm not the only one who seems to win the hearts of feisty women. Ethan here seems to have picked up on your dear friend Kate.

"We are only friends Damien" Kate and Ethan said at the same time and Kate blushed.

"Ethan was telling me about his home town and how he was raised." Kate said and Damien looked at Ethan.

I hope you didn't tell her the truth, like say how you were turned and that you lived during the 17th century.

Now why would I tell her that I'm really that old, that would gross her out.

Right, Damien said into Ethan's head then he looked at Kate and winked at her and she blushed redder.
