Kerri's alarm clock wailed awake to warn Kerri that she had to get up for work. Kerri hit the off button and threw the covers back, stood up and went into the bathroom to get ready for the long day ahead. She had to pull a fifteen hour shift tonight because Dr. Painter wasn't in because he'd flown to New York to watch his daughter act in a Broadway play. His replacement called in sick, so now Kerri was stuck with both shifts.
Kyle jumped through Damien's window and sat on the window seal, his legs now were covered in jeans and his feet were in black combat boots. The tank top was replaced by one that was the same color as the one that he had on last night. Kyle's black hair was no longer flat, it was now standing up everywhere. Heavily tinted wraparound sunglasses covered his gold eyes.
"So, brother, how are you going to explain to your human pet why you're wearing heavily tinted sunglasses all the time?" Kyle asked as he threw Damien a pair and itched his neck.
"I'll tell her the truth and she is not my human pet." Damien said as he pulled my shirt on, Kyle snorted as he started a fire ball in his hand.
"Yeah that'll go great" Kyle's voice was thick with sarcasm, the flames bounced up and down.
"What if she doesn't believe you and takes them off, then what'll you do when the sun burns your eye balls out of your skull?" Damien looked at
Kyle and turned the flame into an ice ball, Kyle dropped it. Disliking the change of elements, he made a rude hand gesture at Damien as the ball shattered against the floor. Damien returned the hand gesture as they both turned to the door as it opened, the smell of mangos and roses filled the air. Making Damien's and Kyle's throats burn with thirst, making them extremely uncomfortable. When the door finally reviled Kerri standing in the door way. In her scrubs with her tooth brush in her mouth. Her hair was held back with a head band. Kerri looked back and forth between Damien and Kyle, her blue eyes widened.
"There's two of you?!" Kerri exclaimed as she took her tooth brush out of her mouth, Kyle smiled and hopped down from the window seal and extended his hand to her.
"I'm Kyle Chambers, Damien's identical twin" Kerri looked at Kyle's hand stunned, then shook his hand.
"Kerri Young, I just came to see what the sound was, it sounded like something shattered. Oh, and how did you find Damien?"
Apparently, I'm in a dream, real life can't be this good. Kyle and Damien both smiled at Kerri's thought.
"It must have been the neighbors, and Kyle is my twin, we always know where to find each other." Damien said as he walked up to her and Kyle, Kerri looked at her watch.
"Oh, crap I got to go or I'll be late, Damien does this mean you'll be going home today?" Kerri asked and Damien nodded. A sad expression showed in her blue eyes for a brief second and then it was gone.
I wish a had time to talk to you-
"Okay, well. Will I see you again?" Kerri asked and his gaze softened.
"I would really like that."
"How will I get a hold of you?"
"I'll get a hold of you--although I'll give you my cell number" Damien wrote the number on a piece of paper and gave it to Kerri and Kerri nodded. Then walked out of the room. Damien looked at Kyle and he shrugged,
"That's a lot of help" Damien said as he rolled his eyes.
"I'll race you to the house." Kyle said and he seemed to radiate anticipation and Damien rolled his eyes again. Kyle was always up for a race, even though he nearly exposed them as vampires to the town by running through it in broad day light.
