"Ava you aren't okay", Hazel said.

Hazel was right. I wasn't okay at all. Everything has been falling apart. Shawn hasn't came around since that moment at the gender reveal party, my mom is a crazy hormonal psycho and I've been sick for three months.

"Maybe I should go to the doctors", I shrugged.

"I can make an appointment if you want", Hazel offered.

I nodded and hopped back in bed. I was going over so many things in my head until one hit me. Pregnancy. It made perfect sense. I looked down at my stomach and it had been poking out each month after the incident with Jace!!! The night flashed back in my head and tears fell down my face. I hadn't been able to think clearly after that night. First I got my innocence taken and now I'm carrying his baby?

"Ok you have an appointment at 12-

I looked up and Hazel looked concerned.

"I'm pregnant Hazel", I said.

"What? Ava", she said coming over to me.

"When J....Jace r...he-

"Say no more babe. Let's just get you to the doctors ok?".

I nodded and got up. I threw a hoodie, joggers and sneakers on. We left and headed towards the doctors office. How am I supposed to raise a baby? I'm going to college next fall and there's about to be three baby's in the house. Questions raced through my head such as how am I going to raise it on my own? How am I still going to be a teenager?
"Hey it's okay", Hazel said when we pulled up.

I nodded and got out. My nerves were almost shot at this point.

"I'm here for Caniff", I told the lady.

"Oh right on time. Head on back", the nurse smiled.

Hazel and I walked into the exam room where I would be soon finding out my fate.

"Hi guys!!", the doctor chirped.

I smiled briefly and we continued on with the exam. Blood work was done and they gave me a pregnancy test. While I waited I received a text from Shawn. Honestly I didn't want to talk or see him. He hasn't tried to make an effort to pursue whatever we are or see me.
{Shawn Mendes🎶: hey can we talk?}
{Me: oh now you wanna talk?}
{Shawn Mendes🎶: look I'm sorry I can explain. Plz? Panera?}
{Me: fine. I'll be there at 12:00.}
As much as I didn't want to see him I knew he should at least get the chance to explain.
"Ok Ms. Caniff we have your results", the doctor said walking back in the room.

"And?".

"Well you're pregnant for sure. We can schedule an ultrasound appointment for you out front", she smiled sweetly.

"Wait how far along?", Hazel asked.

"Well she's about five months. I'm surprised you didn't know sooner", she replied.

The doctor left the room and I didn't even know how to comprehend this. I looked down at my small belly and placed a hand on it. This doesn't feel real to me.

"Ava are you okay?", Hazel asked.

"I...I don't know", I shrugged.

"Look you can do this", she said grabbing my hand.

I put my hand back on my belly and smiled slightly. Maybe this won't be easy and maybe I'll have to do this on my own but I'm going too. Despite the massive fear I have I fell in love with this baby and I knew i was going to give it more love than it knows what to do with.

"I....I'm a mommy", I smiled.

Hazel smiled and gave me a hug.

"Let's go", she said.

We scheduled an appointment and I told her to drop me off at Panera. I saw Shawn standing against his car scrolling through his phone.

"Oh hey Av", he smiled.

"Hi Shawn", I replied.

"Ready?".

I nodded and we walked inside. The place was empty which is surprising.

"I rented the place out so we could talk and not be bothered by fans", he said.

Shawn may be on my bad side right now but he's sweet.

"So explain why you haven't been around", I said.

"I'm sorry Ava. I just....I've been so wrapped up in my music and that song I sang you was a hit for my producers", he said. "I would never just walk out on you".

Shawn's fingers laced with mine and I got that same feeling but when I looked down I knew this wouldn't be fair to him. I'm going to be a mom and all my time will be consumed by the baby and Shawn doesn't deserve that.

"Let me take you to dinner", he smiled.

"Shawn I...I'm pregnant", I said looking at his brown eyes that drove me crazy.

"Wow Ava", he replied shaking his head.

"What?".

"If you didn't want to go out with me you could've just said so. You didn't have to makeup a crazy lie!!!".

"Shawn I'm not lying!! Give me your hand", I said.

I placed Shawn's hand on my belly and watched his look change from mad to concerned and guilty.

"You're really?"

I nodded and got up.

"I'm not lying", I mumbled and walked out.

"Ava!!!", he yelled after me.

I stormed out of Panera and into the parking lot. I pulled out my phone and dialed Hazels number. My phone was yanked from my hand and when I turned around Shawn stood there with my phone.

"Give it back Shawn!", I demanded.

"Nope. Not until we finish talking", he replied smirking.

I rolled my eyes and we went back inside.
"So you're really pregnant?", he asked.

I nodded.

"Are you gonna keep it?".

"Of course. It's my baby", I said sipping my water.

"So are you going to tell Jace? Jack or Madison?", he asked.

"No. I can't tell Jace and Jack and Madison don't need to know", I said.

He nodded leaving us in a moment of silence.

"Ava this doesn't change anything between us", Shawn said grabbing my hand.

As badly as I wanted us to happen I knew having a baby would change things so I had to do this.

"Shawn, I'm going to be a mom in four months. I'm going to be so busy taking care of the baby and your music is going to be going far. I just don't think right now we can happen", I said looking at his eyes which were red and puffy.

"Goodbye Shawn", I whispered.

I walked out of Panera and that was that....
