I sat in the cold waiting room with Shawn and my dad hoping the doctor would tell us something. Ava had went unconscious while we begged every doctor to help us and now I'm more worried than ever. A small tear dripped off my cheek and onto my hand. The thought of my baby sister laying in a hospital bed because she was raped killed me inside. The thought of she have everything she had to be with Jace and he did this killed me too.

"My baby", my mom sobbed into my dads chest.

My dad was crying too but he still comforted my mom.

"I'll be right back", I said as my phone rang.

It was Hazel. A small smile grew on my lips.

"Hey baby girl", I said.

"Caleb? We need to talk", she said.

"Ok what's up?".

"I'm pregnant", she said.

My heart beat sped up and I dropped my phone to the ground. I picked it back up and pressed it to my ear. P

"Uh I'll be over in like thirty", I said ending the call.

Yeah maybe I shouldn't leave but this isn't something to take lightly.

"Hey I'm going to run home and grab a few things", I told my parents.

They nodded. I walked out to my car and drove to Hazels house.
"Are you sure you took the test right?" I asked as we sat in her bedroom.

"You pee on a stick it's not rocket science", she replied.

I sighed and got up.

"How could this happen?", she asked. "I'm not ready to be a mom".

I heard her begin to cry and I pulled her into a hug.

"I'm not ready to be a dad but we did this we need to take responsibility for it", I said.

"I don't want to do this alone", she sobbed.

I lifted her chin up so her eyes met mine.

"I promise you won't have to baby girl", I said.

"I'm sorry for everything C. I'm sorry for hurting you and your sister", she said.

"Speaking of sister...she's in the hospital so I should head back", I said.

"Wait what happened?".

"Gilinsky's kid", I mumbled.

"Say no more. He did it too Samantha in ninth grade", she said. "Want me to come with?".

I nodded and grabbed her hand. We walked out to my car and drove off.

"I can't believe there's a little baby in there", I said placing my hand on her flat belly.

"I know it's scary but also I'm excited", she smiled.

We pulled up to the hospital and parked. We walked in and Shawn was sitting with my parents.

"Hazel? How nice to see you", My mom said hugging her.

"Hi Ms. Caniff and Mr. Caniff", she smiled.

"Has the doctor said anything yet?", I asked taking a seat.

Shawn looked blankly at the wall. Something wasn't right about him.

"Yeah they said she's in a lot of pain which is to be expected but she's recovering", my mom said grabbing my fathers hand.

"Can I see her?", Shawn asked.

"Shawn maybe Cal-

"No mom, let him go", I smiled.

Shawn stood up and walked towards Ava's room.

After I had saved Ava from Jace I hadn't been the same. I knew Ava wouldn't be the same. I saw her get hurt and I felt like it was my duty to protect her. I stopped in front of the door and sighed. I walked in and she was lying in her bed asleep. She looked beautiful. Her blonde hair was perfectly wavy and she looked peaceful. I walked over and grabbed her hand. It was warm and her nails were painted pink like always. Pink was her favorite color it seemed like.

"I'm so sorry this happened Ava", I whispered as I stroked her hand with my thumb.

I felt her hand squeeze mine.

"It's okay Shawn. I'll be okay", she said.

Her eyes fluttered open and the blue was sparkly.

"Ava why were you with Jace?", I asked.

"Shawn please-

"No Ava! You knew he would hurt you!! Why would you go back to him!!? How could you be so stupid?!!!", I asked standing up.

"I didn't know he was going to rape me Shawn!!!!!! If I would've known that then I wouldn't have got back together with him!!!!!", she yelled.

A few tears dripped down her cheek and I regretted everything I said. I rushed to her side and pulled her into a hug.

"I'm so sorry this happened Avalon", I said.

"Why me?", she cried.

"I don't know why", I shrugged.

Ava looked up at me with those big gorgeous blue eyes and our eyes darted back and fourth from lips to eyes. Before I knew it my lips had once again smashed onto hers. She pulled away and looked confused.

"Shawn we can't", she said.

I sighed and looked out of the window.

"I know", I sighed.

"Not now at least...I mean after today and-

"Ava I know why ok? You shouldn't worry about that right now. You need rest", I smiled.

After Shawn and I's second kiss I was more confused then ever. I mean I could possibly have feelings for him but I don't know if I do. I didn't have time to think before Caleb and of course Hazel walked in.

"Hey baby sis", Caleb said.

"Caleb why is she here?", I whispered.

"Hazel has something she wants to tell you", he replied.

"Look Ava, I know I've done some terrible things to you and Caleb but I want to make amends. I want to be friends again", Hazel said.

I knew she meant it.

"Well we won't be best friends again for awhile but I forgive you", I said.

"Babe maybe we should tell her", Hazel said turning to Caleb.

He nodded.

"Ava....Hazels pregnant", Caleb said.

"Woah! What? Seriously!!?", I said.

They nodded.

"SHE'S WHAT!!!?", my parents voices yelled from the door way.

How could this day get so turned upside down?
