Chapter 37: The Wish is Granted

Aurora could; in a sense; figure out what her parents were saying. But to her she just heard her name. And the word "Daddy." The rest was lost to her.

In frustration, she made a popping sound. And it got her parents to switch their focus only for a second, before they went back to talking.

She felt Impacts nose on her hand and she grabbed it, it was squishy and wet. And he barked softly.

She mimicked him, or tried to, but only managed to sound like a quack.

"Are you okay pup?" She heard Impact ask her in a language she could understand.

"Yeah, I'm trying to get Mommy and Daddy's attention." She replied, huffing.

"Want me to help?" Impact asked in his light smooth voice, licking her.

"Nah, I got it, but thanks bubby." She patted his head laughed at him.

Luna came up next, and she was excited.

"SIS, let's go! I wanna play!" She exclaimed, wagging her tail rapidly. Her little squeaky voice cracking.

"Can't sissy, sorry I have to get Mommy's and Daddy's attention." She replied, trying to mimic how Aphmau said Daddy.

"I can get them." Luna barked excitedly, only to be stopped by Impact.

"She wants to do it herself Moon. I'll play with you." He said lazily, wagging his tail.

"Really! Yes! Come on!" Luna barked and ran outside.

"Good luck..." Aurora said sarcastically, and she giggled.

Impact grumbled inwardly.

"I'll need it, Moon, wait up!" He ran after his friend. His tail trailing behind him.

Now focusing on the task at hand she tried again to say Daddy. But instead said something like Papdy.

Growling in irritation, she made a quacking sound, but was determined to get it right.

She tried several more times. Until...

"DADDY!!!!" She yelled it at the top of her lungs.

Aaron jumped and ran into the room. And he chuckled.

"You have some voice, heh, why do I know that you get that from your mother..." He murmured the last bit. 

"Daddy." She grabbed his nose and giggled.

"Hmm... Ah. Is that me Light? I'm I your Daddy?" He kissed her forehead and she shuffled his hair, trying to climb on top of him.

"Huh?" She laid on the top of his head, and hung her hands over his eyes so he couldn't see.

"Honey! I have gone blind!" He yelled into the other room. And stumbled around.

Aphmau ran into the other room, worried until she saw what he was up to.

"Oh dear, what are we going to do?" She giggled and stared at the top of his head.

"I don't know! But go find Aurora, I can't seem to see anything at the moment." Aurora giggled and removed her hands.

"Ah! But where has my little Light gone?" Aaron chuckled and clasped his hands.

"I don't know dear, we should go find her." Aphmau said, laughing at her husbands antics.

"Daddy!" Aurora yelled climbing down from her fathers head.
