Chapter 23: Mom Ro'meave

"I'm a grandma!" A lady with graying hair exclaimed outside Aaron and Aphmau's room.

"Momma, She's asleep, be a little quiet." Vlyad whispered. A green scarf around his neck, he had on a brown, dusty suit, and green eyes it was obvious he didn't live here. And it was only a visit.

"We don't want to wake them, they've had a long week." A man next to Vlyad spoke, he had black hair and his bangs went over one of his eyes. Which were blue.

"Zane, Vlyad, It'll be fine, I want to see my grand baby! And my son in law!" She excitedly rang the doorbell.

Many different things happened at once, Aurora started crying and Impact barked loudly, Aaron was slapped in the face by multiple things getting up at the same time, and Aphmau screamed, as she had been woken abruptly.

On top of this, a shelf fell on Aaron's head, knocking him into the bed with a thump.

Cursing, he flung the shelf off him, rubbing his head.

Aphmau laughed sleepily, and got up to go check on Aurora. Then went to the door.

"Aphie!" Zianna gave her a huge bear hug, and Aphmau jumped in surprise.

"Zianna!? I mean Mom!" Aphmau hugged her back, but immediately started tending to Aurora who had started crying again.

"Shhh... Mommy's here..." She rocked her back and forth.

She calmed down a little, but wasn't going back to sleep anytime soon.

"Aww... She's so cute!" Zianna exclaimed, jumping up and down excitedly.

"She is, isn't she?" Aaron walked into view, grabbing Aphmau's other hand.

"You must be Aaron! It's so nice to meet my son in law!" She hugged him as well, taking him by surprise.

"Um..." Aaron tried to interject but was cut off.

Aphmau started laughing at his bewildered expression. Covering her mouth.

"We aren't married..." He said slowly, making Zianna stop in her tracks.

"Oh... Well give it awhile then, you are the father after all." She added cheerily, and smiled

"No... I'm not." Aphmau tried to stop him, but it came out of his mouth before he saw her.

"W-What? Your not..." Her face fell into a look of disappointment.

"Well, not biologically, but, she does need one..." He brought his hand closer to her, only to have it slapped away.

"Huh?"

"If you are not the father you have no right! Aphmau! Who's the father to this baby?!" She went into hysterics, looking at her with a blaze in her eyes.

"No one important." Aaron said, in a monotone voice. Crossing his arms.

"It is important! She needs to find him! And then get back together because he is the father to this baby!"

"It was forced. She was forced to become a parent by him. So as far as I am concerned, he's not important."

She looked at him, and almost gasped, she could tell he was not backing down. And also he was about three times her size.

But she wasn't backing down either.

"He's still the father, what are you going to tell her when she grows up, I'm not your real father! No, your going to lie and say that you are!"

She started yelling.

"And then he's going to go though his whole life thinking that he has the same parents as his brothers, when in reality he only has the same mother." He wiped some wetness from her eyes. And looked up at him.

Aaron grinned, he didn't know why but he knew what to say.

"There is more to family than blood, if you love your son, then he is a part of your family." He said softly, taking Aurora and coddling her.

"And I love your daughter, and her daughter. And they are the only family I have." He looks over at Aphmau.

"And I'd like to be a part of her's..." He smiled at her, giving her back Aurora.

"You're so much like him..." Zianna, smiled up at him and looked at her daughter.

"Take care of him, he's a keeper."

"Mom!"

"Well thank you." Aaron said proudly, patting Impact, who had lumbered up beside him.

"Woah, that's a big dog." Zianna said, a little scared.

"He's a big coward. He won't do nothin'." He realized that he had been talking in an accent, but was to lazy to change it.

Impact barked at him, then lumbered over to Aphmau and the baby. And he nuzzled them.

"See." He pointed to them.

"Momma, Mom!" Zane and Vlyad came in, filling up the already crowded space.

They stopped at the sight of Aphmau and the ran up to her.

"Sis!" They both said, and they hugged her. Then the looked down at the baby.

"So that means.."

"Your uncles!" She said brightly, glancing over at her mother.

"Well, come over here, grandma."
