A/N Hah, So I drew a thing about make-out night. I had limited time so, hey. Yeah, I know I can't draw hands.

The nurse tried every remedy she could think of, but it did not even dent the amount of radiation in his system. And the radiation was killing his cells faster and faster

She left, in tears, she couldn't help them. And they had seemed like wonderful people.

But she accidentally left a boiler running. And inside was an remedy she had tried.

It crackled, then popped, and then a loud thump knocked some medicine off the shelves. And small doses of each fell into the pot.

A different person entered the room, a strange person, with orange hair, she wore a purple lab coat and two other girls followed her.

She saw the boiler and then the file next to it:

Couple came in, they said that they were trying for a baby for eight months.

Aaron, The male, is as infertile as grease, the radiation in his body is killing most of his viable reproductive cells, and the radiation is quickly adapting to kill the rest. I sent them into the recovery wing, but I'm not sure there's much I can do.

"Lucinda, we just came for meds, stop reading files." A female voice said from the shadows as she grabbed a bottle of pills.

"It's about Aphmau. Her partner is infertile." Lucinda piped back, feeling sorry for her old friend.

"So, we need to go, we are just supposed to grab what we need and go, she can sort out her own problems." Another one said, grabbing some liquid on the shelf.

She glanced at the pot and chuckled, the concoction was one that she knew, but it was very rare. She grabbed the sample of Aaron's DNA.

"Let's see if this works first."

She dropped the mixture on the sample and put it under the microscope.

The sample at first did nothing, but then the mixture ate away at the dead, irradiated cells. Leaving the healthy ones.

"The best things always happen by accident." She said aloud, and took a vial of the stuff.

She headed to the recovery wing. Leaving the two girls behind.

"She'll be back later, let's finish up here."

As Aphmau was asleep, Aaron was on his knees in prayer. He wasn't religious but he was willing to try anything at this point. Through his tear stained cheeks he bowed and prayed.

A knock on the door made him stand up, he was unhopeful that anything would happen. He assumed that it was the nurse coming in to tell him that she couldn't help them.

He was surprised to see an orange haired girl at the door.

"You are Aaron, correct?" She asked, her excitement uncontainable.

"Y-yes." His voice cracked from crying.

"Here." She shoved the vial in his hand and smiled at him.

"I read your case, you're very lucky to find a girl like Aph. This should at least help with the radiation."

He broke and hugged her, surprising her.

"S-sorry, but, thank you... you have no idea what this means to us!" He pulled away and looked at the vial, it was a brownish-red color.

"And I really don't want to put that in my body." He said, chuckling. Reading her to make sure she wasn't lying.

She wasn't.

"Well, it's a bit of a risk, but it won't kill you if you drink it, so..." She suddenly realized she didn't know the side-effects of taking it.

"Well then, bottoms up." He unscrewed the top of the vial and tipped it into his mouth.

It tasted horrible, and he gagged almost immediately. But he stayed strong and swallowed it.

At first nothing happened, but then he felt a red hot fire run down his spine, and down to his pelvis.

Yelling in pain, he hit the floor.

Lucinda gasped, and Aphmau jolted awake.

"What? What's going on?!"

The lights turned on at her panicked voice and showed Aaron twitching on the floor and Lucinda over him.

Aaron shuddered still, he wasn't dead, but he had figured out if he didn't move. It wouldn't burn as much.

"Lucinda?! What did you do?!" She bent over next to him, almost crying.

"He'll be fine. It's just the medication I gave him." She said hurriedly, and she watched in curiosity.

After about on hour, Aaron sat up mostly out of anger.

"What the hell was that?!" He yelled, his voice crackling from the medicine.

"Well, I did say it was a risk..." Lucinda replied matter of factly.

"But hey, you didn't melt into a blob on the floor. That's a plus." She said in a monotone voice.

"I could have melted!? And you didn't feel the need to tell me this before I took it!" Aaron replied, halfway between angry and relived.

"Then you wouldn't have taken it." She said, smiling innocently.

Aaron was still feeling a little dizzy, but he stood up.

"Okay, fine. Let's just go to sleep and hope I can still walk in the morning." Lucinda nodded and left, the door swooshing shut behind her.

"Do you feel any different?" Aphmau asked, going on her tiptoes and looking right into his eyes.

"Cleaner, I guess, but I don't want to do that again." He shivered, and caressed her cheek, kissing her lightly on the forehead.

"That was Rad-Away, I didn't realize it until I took it. And my body does not like it, it's why I don't take it." He explained, his legs suddenly feeling like lead.

"Come on, let's go to bed."

And as they re tuck themselves in, a huge bright star twinkled down on them. And wind blew outside. Moving the flag of an old crumbling tower.

The trees shook and nature went silent, as a huge rad storm blew over them, its acidic winds hitting the lovers sealed window

And Aaron looked out, and saw the twinkling star. And for the first time in his life, he believed in miracles.

Aphmau snuggled up next to him, sighing contently.

And he wrapped his arms around her, placing his hands on her stomach and kissed the top of her head.

"I love you, and even if this hadn't worked out the way it did. I still would." He whispered in her ear.

She giggled and kissed his ear. Making him jump.

And they both slowly, fell asleep.
