Wedding~Anthony Rizzo

Today was the day. Today I am becoming Mrs. Anthony Rizzo and I couldn't wait any longer. I was so ready to walk down that aisle right now even though I wasn't ready yet, but I was ready to marry the love of my life. 

I was sitting in the back room of the church with my mom and my bridesmaids, which happened to be all girlfriends/wives of the Cubs players. I had Jessica as my Maid of Honor, Darya, Melissa, Julianna and Brittany. Those were the girls that I was the closest with out of the bunch. 

Especially Jessica, seeing as Kris and Anthony were best friends, it was only fitting that Jessica and I had become best friends too. Having no siblings, sisters anyway, it was fitting for her to be my MOH. 

I sighed to myself and smiled admiring the beautiful engagement ring that Anthony has proposed with a year and a half back at a sold out crowd at Wrigley during the seventh inning stretch. It was an amazing proposal and I couldn't ask for anything more out of Anthony than that. 

My mom snapped me out of my daydreaming with dragging me out of the chair and forcing me to get in my dress. I smiled out of her and took off the robe and had the girls help me get into my dress. "Hot damn, you're hot. I hope to look as good as you when I get married to Kris." Jessica said and I laughed and so did the other girls. 

"Honey, you look beautiful." My mom said with tears in her eyes. "Ma, don't cry, I don't want to ruin my makeup." I said giving her a hug. "Now here is Anthony's present, read the note first." She said handing me a piece of paper and a box. 

Dear (Y/N),

Now I'm going to keep this short and sweet, since I'm going to be telling you everything in the vows. I love you so much and I know you look beautiful already but this piece of jewelry is going to make you look even more beautiful if that's even possible, enjoy. 

Your soon to be husband, Anthony.

I opened the box to reveal a beautiful diamond necklace and when I took it out of the box all the girls gasped and had the jaws to the floor.

"Holy cow Anthony Vincent Rizzo, you have outdone yourself." I said to myself and handing the necklace to Jessica to put on me. "This thing must have cost a fortune." She said after she put it on me. "Oh I don't doubt it one bit, he always said that I was his princess and he would get me anything, but I didn't think it would be something like this." I said. 

It was finally time for the wedding to start. The music began to play and my mom walked down and then Anthony's parents and then the bridal shower and then finally the flower girl and then me and my dad. 

Every was looking at me with smiles on their faces but all I cared about was Anthony standing at the end of the aisle with a smile on his face and tears in his eyes. I kissed my dad and Anthony helped me stand across from him. I gave him a wink and the ceremony began. 

We were finally at the vows. "Now the couple have chosen to write their own vows, Anthony your first." The priest said and Anthony took the paper out of his pocket and his hands were shaking so I grabbed them and rubbed his hands to calm him down. 

"Alright here we go, sorry if I stumble I'm kinda nervous. On August 10th, 2009 is when I first saw you. I was in complete awe of your beauty and couldn't focus on BP that day, it didn't help that you were wearing my jersey either. I just had to get to know you. So I went over to you and started talking to you casually, I can remember this day clearly. You were with your two brothers who were being very over protective of you and all I could do was smile through the crap they were giving me. But you didn't let them stop you, you gave me your name and your number and I texted you that night asking to take you out and we've grown from there. I have promise you so many things in the seven years that we have been together but I can promise you one last thing, I will never stop giving you my full undivided attention and love until the day we die. There isn't anyone else on this planet that deserves the world than you. You make me the happiest guy in this world and I wouldn't want any other girl to become my wife at this very moment. The way your eyes light up when you talk about something that you're so passionate about, the way your eyes go wide when you see something you love, the way you laugh, the way you laugh with me and at me most of the time, and the way you make me love you more and more every day. Because of you, I'm eternally grateful for the life that I'm going to have." He says  and most of the church is in tears. 

"Alright, lemme top that real quick. Anthony Vincent Rizzo, I love you more than you can ever imagine or put into words for that matter. You have given me and new meaning to life. The way you make my heart flutter every time you kiss me or say my name or the way you call me baby, I can't help but smile whenever I'm around you. I just want to be in your arms because to me, I'm safe when I'm in your arms and nothing bad can happen to me when I'm there, it's my safe haven. You're my safe haven. Since meeting you in 2009, I had fallen in love with you right then and there when I saw you, but at first I knew it was too good to be true. But then you kept calling me and talking to me so I know something good was going to come out of going to that game with my brothers that day. You've given me joy and a new spring in my step I never knew I had. You push me to the best I can and you've never stopped me from going after my dreams. We have our whole lives ahead of us to be us and to eventually be parents to our beautiful children, even though we already have one and he's sad because he's sitting in doggy day care right now wishing he was here to watch his mommy and daddy get married. Our little Wrigley and if you're all wondering, no I didn't name him. Anthony and Kris got him for me and took care of the name before I even met the pup. But back to us, I love us and the way that we love one another and for you Anthony Rizzo, I'm eternally grateful for you." I finished up with and I was crying and so was he. 

We went through the rest of the ceremony and finally it was time to kiss Anthony. "By the power invested in me, you may now kiss your bride." The priest said and Anthony smirked at me and grabbed me and dipped me and then planted a big wet kiss on my lips and everyone cheered. 

I grabbed my flowers from Jessica and took Anthony's hand as we walked back down the aisle and out of the church. "I love you Mrs. Rizzo." Anthony said looking at with a goofy smile on his face. "I love you too Mr. Rizzo." I said kissing him.
