"The hottest player on the Marlins is staring at you." My best friend said as she brought my drink over to me and I just rolled my eyes. "Yeah right, like some hot shot like him would ever look at me like that. Plus, I've heard he's a major player." I said as I took a sip of my drink.

"Well he's coming over here so you better do something." She said and I looked over and sure enough, he was coming over to our table. "Hey there beautiful." He said as he put his hands on the table.

"Hey there." I said without giving him eye contact and I just looked at my friend instead who rolled her eyes at me. "I'm going to go onto the dance floor." She said and left us alone. He slid into the booth across from me and I finally looked up at him.

I had to admit, he was hot, but I knew he was just a player and just wanted sex from me. "What are you doing here all by yourself?" He asked and I sighed. "Technically, I'm not by myself. I am with my best friend." I said as I looked over to her. "Who is now dancing with Christian Yelich." I said as I rolled my eyes at her.

"So do you wanna go dance?" He asked and I laughed. "I don't dance with random strangers." I said and he smiled. "Surely I'm not just a random stranger." He said and I scoffed. "I mean, I've seen your face plenty of times on TV but we've never formally met, so yeah, you're still a stranger to me." I said.

I knew he was amused by this and was playing along, but this was not a game. I really didn't have any interest in him whatsoever, unless he showed me he wasn't a player, then it would be a different story.

"My name is Giancarlo, what's yours?" He asked, smart boy, trying to get to me now are we? "That's something for you to find out at a later date, see you Giancarlo." I said as I got up and went outside to go home.

I had absolutely no interest in him and he knew it, but the thoughts in my heart were telling me to go back and give him a chance and then my mind said screw that, he's a player.
