Today was the best day of my life, I had just gotten called up to the Majors and I was going to be the first ever girl to pitch in the Big Leagues and I couldn't be any more excited for this opportunity. 

I showed up to the park early to work with Yadi making sure he knew my pitches and everything to get ready for the game tonight. "It's a pleasure to work with you." I said to him as we were walking to the cages. 

"I could say the same to you Lydia." He said with his accent ringing. I've admired Yadi and his work for quite some time and I could honestly say that I thought he was attractive and he seems like a sweet guy. 

I took the mound in the cage as he got behind the plate and I he sent me signs for my pitches which he already knew, he did his homework which I was impressed by. "We should stop before you hurt yourself and you won't be able to pitch tonight." He said coming up to me and handing me the ball. 

"How'd you already know my pitch range?" I asked as we were walking back to the clubhouse. "I've done my homework. I've followed you in the minors for quite some time, I'm fond of your work and I've been begging for them to bring you up." He said. 

I couldn't help but blush at his words and I'm never like this with any guys so it was weird for me. "You're cute when you blush." He said which made me blush even more. "I can't believe that you've been following me. It's kind of weird to hear that from a major leaguer." 

"Well you're just that good and you deserve to be here." He said as we finished getting ready. "You're going to kill it out there today, I just know it." He said as we were walking to the bullpen. I'm not that pitcher who zones out when I'm pitching, I like to have fun and smile because I love the game. 

"With you behind the plate, I know I can accomplish anything." I said as we started stretching. The game flew by and I went eight innings with allowing 3 hits and one earned run. I was finishing off getting ready for home. 

"See, I knew you were going to kill it out there." He said out of nowhere. "Thanks, you called a great game." I said with a smile grabbing my things. He had this look on his face and out of nowhere, his lips were on mine and I didn't react at first, but then I put my arms around his neck and melted into the kiss. 

I didn't know where that came from, but damn did I like it.
