"ALLIE IT'S THREE AM WHAT ARE YOU DOING JUST GETTING HOME?!" I was awoken from my deep sleep as my husband was yelling at our daughter. I sighed and got up and put on my robe and went downstairs. 

"Be quiet before you wake all the other children up. What is going on here?" I asked as I came into view of the two and Andrew looked like he was fuming and Allie looked like she was about to cry. 

"I noticed that Allie wasn't home and I was waiting up for her and it's three a.m. and she's sneaking in the house!" He exclaimed. I sighed and rubbed my temples, I was too tired for this. "Allie care to explain yourself?" I asked as calmly as I could. 

"I just lost track of time with my friends. I wasn't with a boy, which is what dad obviously thinks that I was doing. I wasn't drinking or doing drugs. I promise dad." She was in tears now. "Allie, go up to bed, it's late and we'll talk about this in the morning." I said and she hugged me before going upstairs. 

"Do you actually believe her?" Andrew asked and I sighed. "Yes, I actually do because it's late and I'm tired and I actually trust our daughter unlike you who is very protective." I said walking back upstairs with Andrew hot on my tail.

"Because that's my job! I'm supposed to be protective over the girls! I don't want them getting into drugs or anything or having sex!" He said and I took off my robe and laid back in bed. 

"Andrew, my love. Sex is a part of life, whenever Allie and the other girls are ready to have sex, they'll come to me and talk about it. They won't go to you because they know you don't want them to grow up. I want them to grow up and experience life." I said and he sighed and laid down next to me. 

"I'm sorry babe, I don't mean to be hard on Allie, it's just I want her to succeed in life. She's our oldest daughter and I hate to see her grow up. It was easier with the boys because they can't get pregnant." He said and I laughed. 

"Yeah but they get the girl pregnant and we're stuck with possibly watching the baby when I have a handful of kids myself and you're always away." I said and he brought me into his arms and rubbed my back. 

"I know, what do you think of me retiring soon?" He asked and I looked at him. "How did this go from an argument about Allie sneaking into the house to you retiring?" I asked and he laughed. 

"I don't know, but I will apologize to Allie in the morning and have a talk." He said kissing my forehead. "You better be nice." I said. "I will babe, just go back to sleep."
