"Babe, remember our graduation?" He asked as he was laying in bed and I was getting ready to lay down as well. "Yeah, very vividly." I said with a laugh as I pulled back the covers and got into bed with him. 

"When I called you up on stage, you were as white as a ghost." He said and I laughed. "Well I didn't think you were going to propose to me during graduation, let alone in high school." We had been together since our freshman year and no one could separate us. 

It was a long journey through the minor leagues with him, but I never once left his side and I never will, seeing as we've been through it all together. "I just knew you were the one and I was leaving for Miami so I wanted to make sure you wouldn't leave me." 

"Oh so you're proposal was about me not cheating on you while you were away?" I said being fake hurt. "Of course not, it was all out of love for you and knowing that whether I was with you or far away, you were still going to be mine no matter what. You were still going to be in my heart." 

He was a charmer, that's for sure. "What about the day you left?" I said. I try not to remember that day for shit, because it was a horrible one for me and him both. "Babe, you know we both don't like to talk about it." He said and I sighed. 

"I know, but look where we are now though. We're happily in love and the only time we're leaving each other is when you go on a road trip and I have to take my own flight to meet you there." I said and his hand found his way into mine and squeezed it. 

"You know how much I deeply care for you, just seeing you cry so much that day, it killed me inside and it almost made me not go and take the chance to go to the University of Miami instead."

"Wait really? You never told me this." I said sitting up and he did too looking me in the eye. "Yeah, I never wanted to tell you that because you would've never let me do it. You always wanted me to live out my dream of going to the minors right after high school in hopes of being called up to the majors." 

"I would've been mad at you, but I would've still supported your decision one hundred percent." I said caressing his cheek and he leaned into my touch. "But I'm glad I didn't go, you know? I'd probably still be in the minors right now doing god knows what." He said and I laughed. 

"I'm glad you didn't too. Sure I spent countless nights crying over how I missed you, but right here today, I wouldn't trade anything we've done for the world. It's been a long and crazy ride already, but I'm sure as hell here till the end of it." I said and he smiled and pressed his lips to mine. 

"Me too baby girl, me too. I love you, Karina." He said and I smiled and kissed him one more time before laying my head on his chest. "I love you too Christian."
