I was out on my normal jog like I do every morning in the city of Cumberland, Georgia, where I live. As I was running I saw a stray dog on the side of the road. I'm a sucker for dogs, so I went over to it and saw that it had tags and a collar. 

"Well Bentley, how about we call your owner and get you back to where you belong." I said as we both jogged back to my house which wasn't far away from where I found her and as soon as I got into the house, I grabbed my phone and called the number on her tag. 

"Hello?" A deep southern voice said on the other line, probably in hopes that I had found his dog. "Yeah hi, I found your dog this morning on my run and she's with me at me house." I said and he sighed a sigh of relief.

"Thank you so much! Text me your address to this number and I'll come over to get her." He said and I said goodbye and texted him my address. "Bentley, I hope your daddy is as cute as you." I said petting her head as she sat next to me on the couch. 

She was too cute for words, she just laid her head in my lap as we waited for her owner to come get her. She went crazy as there was a knock on the door. I went over and opened it and couldn't believe who I saw. 

"Dansby?" I said in disbelief right now. "Allison? It's so good to see you!" He said giving me a hug. "It's so good to see you too. You're dogs a sweetheart though." I said as he bent down to pet her and give her a hug. 

"Bentley, don't you ever run out on dad like that again." I just thought to myself, yep her dad is as cute as she is. "Well I should get going, I have a game to play tonight and have to get this little lady home." He said. 

"I forgot you played baseball." I said leaning up against the door and he smiled. "You should come to the game tonight, on me. For finding Bentley of course." He said with that gorgeous smile of his. 

"I would love to Dansby." I said with a smile. "Good then I'm taking you out after so we can catch up. I'll leave your tickets at Will Call, see you later?" He said as he started to walk away. 

"Most definitely." I said as I waved goodbye to him as he drove off.
