The Child

I was wreaking havoc once again in the city of Gotham when I noticed an old run down building with a sign that said Gotham's Orphanage.
The sign was hanging sideways and the place looked abandoned.

I skipped inside and saw a lady sitting at a desk. She looked up and stood up fast, backing up shaking her head.

"Please, I.. I didn't do anything! I swear!!" She sputtered.

I giggled. "Oh, I'm not here for you, I'm here to just look around." I said smirking.
I hit her upside the head with my bat and skipped into one of the main sitting rooms. There were children everywhere. As soon as they saw me they started whispering and running away.

I laughed out loud. "Awh come on! I just want to have some fun!!"
I really had no purpose for the kids. I jsut liked striking terror through anyone. The room was now empty besides one kid. She looked to be around 13. She was a little shorter than me, pale skin, and her hair was split down the middle. One half purple, and one half black.

She just watched as I skipped around breaking things in display cases. She didn't even flinch when I walked up to her.

I stuck out my hand grinning. "Harley Quinn nice to meet cha!!" I said.

She glanced at my hand then back up to my face.
I pouted. "No? Okay." I said shrugging.

I turned and walked a little ways away before turning back to her. "You're one brave cookie." I said giggling. "What's your name?" I asked leaning on my bat.

"Keema." She answered.

I smiled. "Wow, interesting name....I wonder..."

Suddenly I heard tires racing up the road.

"Maybe batsy would like a little treat waiting for him when he busts in!!" I said running towards her.
Right as I was going to grab her she backflipped and kicked me up the chin.

"Agh!!" I yelled and quickly jumped back up.
"Feisty one eh?" I said giggling. Then I frowned. "Time to say goodnight!!" I swung my bat towards her just barely missing her head when she jumped up and grabbed my bat bringing it back down to the ground.

"Not tonight. I'll be going now. I'll see you around Quinn." She said and turned and jumped into the rafters, disappearing when she jumped over the railing of the stairs.

'Puddin would like this one....'

I stood there thinking when I heard batsy screech to a half outside. I quickly ran out the back and disappeared from the building.

*Back at the house*

After I got back, I walked in to see Mr.J yelling at some of his men and shot one before walking towards me, arms outstretched.

"Hey puddin!!" I said jumping into his arms, wrapping my legs around his waist.

"Well if it isn't my Harleen Quinzel!" He said grinning, a slight smirk on his face. I frowned and jumped down facing away from him.
"You know I don't like being called that." I said pouting.he slipped his arms around my waist from behind.
"I know sweet cheeks, just wanted to mess around. Now what made you come in here bouncing around like that all happy?" He asked as I turned to face him. I grinned.

"Well puddin, I was just out running around and I came across a run down dump of an orphanage." He growled slightly."I don't like where this is going Harls..."

I shook my head. "It's not bad puddin hold on!! I came across this girl, her name is Keema, and her hair is half purple half black and she's so mysterious and even knows how to fight!! Can we at least visit her? Please puddin pleeassseee!!" I finished looking up at him with puppy dog eyes.

J turned away running his hands through his hair.
"Alright alright...just this once." I squealed jumping up and down.
"But no promises we can keep her!!!" He growled.
I put on a serious face and nodded.

*At the Orphange.*
      *Joker's POV*

We rolled up the the building and it looked completely abandoned. We walked in and the lady at the desk looked terrified. I watched as Harley waltzed up to her grinning.

"I'm back!!! And we're here to see Keema!!" She said in a sing song voice. The lady nodded her head fast and disappeared up the stairs. Soon after she came back down the stairs, a young girl jumped down from the rafters landing gracefully on her feet. I grinned.

She was dressed in a purple and black checkered shirt, some black leggings, some fish net gloves and black combat boots.
"I like the look of this one.." I said grinning walking in an arc around her. "Let's test your skills shall we??" I waved my hand towards one of my men who accompanied us here. "Take him down, oh and play fair dolls, no weapons." I said chuckling.
She stood there for a second as he started walking towards her when she cartwheeled forward and grabbed his head between her knees and flipped, causing him to land on his face groaning.
Then in one swift move, grabbed one arm behind his back and pinned it to prevent him from getting up. You could hear a crunch as she pinned it down and he yelled in pain.

I laughed. "Go ahead and finish him. He's new anyways." I said chucking my gun at her. Without a second thought she shot him in the back of the head.
I grinned clapping my hands slowly. I heard squealing and looked over to see Harley jumping up and down.
"Can we Puddin can we??? Please please can we keep her???" She begged. I chuckled and nodded my head. "As long as Ms. Keema here is ok with it.." I said turning to her. She looked between us both and smiled a little and nodded. Harley grinned and grabbed her by the arm and lead us both out. The lady watched as we started to walk out and spoke up. "Uhm, if you want to adopt you have t-to fill out some pa-paperwork." She said clearly terrified.

Harley got a scowl on her face and raised her bat.
"We don't have to do anything!!! Now Goodnight!!!" She growled and swung her bat, hitting her upside the head. We all left grinning.

I hope you guys enjoy!! Even if it's an old chapter. I'm deleting all old chapters and redoing them a different fashion and fixing them to sound a little better. I'll try to upload a few more tonight!!
