It's been 4 months since Joker took me back. He locked me into a room in the basement with no windows and a barred door. All that was in here was a mattress, a pillow and blanket, and the daily meal. He always had someone outside my door. Most of the time it was this one guy named Charles. I call him Charlie. He's nice to me. He'd come in whenever Joker left and we'd sit and talk and play card games. He even brought me books to read which I'd shove under the mattress whenever Joker came down here.

He hadn't come down in awhile. Charlie said he's been leaving almost everyday, allday. Said he's always drunk and at clubs. I wasn't even around him and I was sick of him. I still wasn't over Deadshot. I couldn't believe he killed him, and now I had no way out. I rolled over, pulling the blanket tighter around me. Charlie gave me a new one that was warmer, it was cold down in the basement and I had no sheets. Joker paid no mind to anything Charlie did, he acted like he couldn't care less.

I haven't had contact with anyone. I constantly wonder what Ivy's doing and when I'll see her again. I huffed and rolled onto my back, staring at the ceiling. After laying there for a few minutes I heard the lock slide over on the door. My eyes shifted and watched as the door opened and revealed Charlie, who looked confused.

"Hey, J left, I have a question." He said, walking in and sitting down across from the bed. I sat up and wrapped the blanket around me.

"Course he is, and what is it?" I replied rolling my eyes.

"A random number texted me, said they needed to talk to you?" He replied, handing me his phone.

I took it and looked at the screen. At the top of the messages was Ivy's number. A grin spread across my face. I quickly typed out a message.

~IVY?! How did you find Charlie's number?! What's going on, how have you been? Omg I've missed you so much~

I pressed send and sat there tapping my fingers on the screen over and over, impatiently waiting for a reply. A minute later I saw the text bubble pop up then fade. I frowned. They popped back up and soon I got a short message back.

~I'm fine, are you ok? I need to know if I can trust this Charlie guy, can't explain right now. Be quick, I'm watching Joker at the club right now.~

I frowned. What was she talking about? What was she trying to do? I shook my thoughts away and typed back a response.

~I'm fine, he has me in the basement with Charlie watching me 24/7, he's nice though. You can trust him. What's going on?~

Impatienly I waited a few more minutes before the phone buzzed again.

~Again, can't explain right now. I'm glad you're safe, give the phone back, Joker just left. I'll see you soon. xx~

The bubbles disappeared and I frowned. I was confused. I looked back up and handed Charlies' phone back. He looked at me.

"She said Joker left the club, asked if she could trust you. I said yea of course but she won't tell me anything." I said. He nodded.

"Ok, I'll let you know if she ever messages again ok?" He said. I just nodded and looked down.

I heard him get up and a minute later felt his arms wrap around me. I leaned forward into the hug and let the warmth engulf me. I felt a few tears slipped and quickly wiped them away before he saw. He stood and walked out the room, glancing at me one more time before I heard the lock slide back into place.

I laid back down and wrapped the blanket back around me, and soon dozed off.
