The Ace Card

I finished putting my hair up and quickly added the finishing touches to my makeup.

Yeah, yeah, why wear makeup for a crime?

"Well because I can!!" I yelled at the mirror.

"Sweetheart come on! Talk to yourself later!" I heard my mom yell up the stairs.

I giggled and grabbed my bat, given to me by my mom, it used to be hers.

I ran out my mom and to the big staircase.

"Hey Ma!! Watch this!" I yelled.

I ran and jumped off the edge of the railing, twisting in the air and landing on my feet. She giggled and jumped up and down clapping. Suddenly behind her the front door slammed open.

"How long do I have to wait?!?!" A mans voice screamed.

I should probably explain.

My names Ace. I'm the daughter of Harley Quinn and Joker. My hairs bright blonde, one side dyed green and the other purple, you know, family inspired! But it also just happened to love the same colors that my dad identifies with.

"What is taking so long?!" J screamed. I snapped back to what was going on. Ma looked nervous and gave him a small smile.

"Ace was just showing me a trick, we were on our way out the door puddin." She said quickly.

He turned towards me and i straightened up.

"Ace, Ace, Ace..." He said quietly, clicking his tongue as he walked towards me.

"You're the lucky card! The helpful one! You know I love you...but doing tricks isn't helpful when I need to be somewhere!!" He snapped.

I rolled my eyes as he huffed. He turned sharply headed back for the front door. "Now come on, we can't be later than we already are.' He growled motioning for me and Ma. We looked at eachother and followed quickly.

*Time skip afterwards*

"Oh you're the lucky card, you're Ace, the helpful one!! Well maybe I don't want to be lucky or helpful!!" I screamed frustrated. I punched a goon in the face as he approached me, they were trying to calm me down so I didn't destroy anything.

Ma and J went out on a "date night". I was left behind and was told I couldn't leave. I growled and stalked away to my room. I flopped on the bed and laid there when I felt the bed shift. I giggled as I felt the hyenas start licking my face. They were my babies. As I laid there I suddenly had an idea. I sat up and grinned.

"I'll prove to them I'm not just helpful for crimes and heists, I'll do something even better....I'll capture birdbrain!!!" I said outloud to no one in particular.

I grabbed my bat and holstered my gun.

All I needed to do was run around Gotham and cause a little havoc that won't result in batman coming, just his little sidekick.

I found a little drugstore and ran in. I held my gun up to the store clerk and giggled. "Just hand me the money and we'll be all good! Easy right?" I said while laughing. He nodded quickly and took the cash out and held it out shakily. I walked forward and took it. I did a little bow before skipping out. All of a sudden someone dropped in front of me. I grinned. It was birdbrain.

He shook his head and held out his hand. "The money Ace." He said simply. I tilted my head a little and pouted. "Awwh but I worked hard for this!" I whined. He rolled his eyes. I giggled and turned back around, skipping back into the store. I walked up and dropped it in front of the clerk. I turned back around to Birdbrain standing behind me looking confused. "That easy? You're up to something." He said slowly.

I frowned and walked forward, draping my arms around his neck. "Me? Up to something? I don't know what you're talking about!" I said smiling slowly.
I moved one hand and traced a finger down his chest while using the other to grab a cloth from a pocket in my jacket. He was too busy watching my other hand. I grinned and quickly pressed the cloth to his face and pushed him down at the same time. He struggled a little but passed out. I laughed and picked him up. I waved at the clerk and quickly ran out and back to the house.

I tied him up in the basement and waited upstairs for Ma and J. I heard the front door open.

"Sweetheart we're home!!" I heard Ma shout from the door. I grinned and skipped in. "I'm glad!! I have a surprise for both of you!!" I said.

Ma looked excited while J looked wary. I led them to the basement and showed them Robin tied up. He had just woken up it looked like. I went behind him and held out my arms. "TA DA!!" I shouted.

Ma clapped and giggled while J grinned. "So you've caught the little bird!" He said laughing his sinister laugh. I nodded vigoriously and grinned. "Now we can lure in batman!" I said jumping up and down.

"You already have." A deep voice from the shadows said. He stepped out and glared at us. J grinned. "Batsy! So nice of you to join us!!" He bellowed.

Batman shook his head. He took something out of his belt and threw it on the ground. Smoke started filling the room, making me dizzy and clouding my vision. Suddenly everything went black and right before I passed out I heard yelling around me.

When I came to I woke up to see Ma and J gone and a few knocked out goons here and there. I pulled on my hair and screamed in frustration.

"This wasn't the plan!!" I screamed at myself. My chance to prove myself to Ma and J was gone and so were they.

I have to fix this.
