Heroes Begin (A Sonic Fanfiction)

Raven/Rachel POV:

I wake up to the annoying ringing of my alarm clock which I swear I want to throw across the room. I hit the snooze button and sit up in my bed to think about the boring day I am going to live through once again. Every school day I deal with all the "snobs" in my school who make fun of me for liking Shadow the hedgehog and sonic games. And even when I get home my family makes fun of me for it too, it's like I can't get away from it. Before I could think any more, I realize that if I don't stop thinking I am going to miss my bus.

I hop out of bed and walk to my dresser and pull out a dark pair of skinny jeans and a purple t-shirt with a white tank top with lace at the bottom and the neck. I head to the bathroom to get changed but unexpectedly get stopped in my tracks by my oldest step-brother, Faxon. He's 19 so he thinks he can boss me around because I'm only 16. "What do you want Faxon, can't you see that I need to get ready for school." I say trying not to look at the toothpaste hanging out the side of his mouth while he's brushing his teeth.

"Whoa, why are you in such a hurry? Are you trying to be fast like shadow to impress him." Still with a mouthful of toothpaste, he chuckles that sentence which makes toothpaste go all over my face.

"Just get out of the way Faxon!" I push him out of the way and head in the bathroom.

After I got dressed, I straitened my curly hair. It was still a little wavy at the bottom but I didn't have time to fix it. I don't bother to put on make up because I needed to hurry. I rushed out of the bathroom into the kitchen and see my other step-brother, Damien, eating the rest of his breakfast. He's 18 and he teams up with Faxon to bug me, but I hang out with him more than Faxon.

"Raven, just pick up a waffle and eat it on the way to the bus stop. We are going to be late for the bus." He says to me as he puts his plate in the sink. I took a waffle and picked up my book bag then headed out the door behind him.

While on our way to the bus stop I saw something glimmer in a bush. I was really curious about what it could be. "Damien, go on with out me I will be there in a second." He then goes toward the bus stop. I walk up slowly toward the object wondering what it could be. I stick my hand under the bush and pull out a purple gem. This looked just like a chaos emerald. As I held it in my hands I felt a spark of energy run through me.

"Raven! The bus is coming!" Damien yelled. I put the chaos emerald in my bag and started to run to him. Right when I got there the bus pulled up and I got in after Damien. I sat in my usual seat in the middle of the bus.

*5 to 10 minutes later*

Pulling up to my school made me already want to go home. When I got of the bus I saw my best friend Carly, but people call her Cali.

"Hey! What's up?" asked Cali.

I didn't want to tell her because she might not believe me, I had to though. "Well I-" my sentence was cut off by the ringing of the bell.

"Let's go to class, we can't be late." Cali said as she ran up the steps.

How am I going to tell her about this? I ran up the steps to the front doors, but before I went in I thought to myself,

"Here we go again.."
