[DISCONTINUED] Heroes Begin (A Sonic Fan Fiction)

Chapter 8

Carly POV:

It's been a day since that mess. And of course, I'm a witness in the 'tragedy', that's what the investigators say. Oh yeah, I'm in an interrogation room. They left me in the room to just sit here and think of it.

Everyone was evacuated from school early yesterday because the cops had to investigate the 'crime scene'. Also, they had to send in scientist to see if there was any trace of Raven.But me? No, I had to go talk about it at the police station. Ashley, Emilee, and Damien had to go to but they were in different rooms.

How could 'Shadow the hedgehog' be real! I thought they were fictional characters, they only existed in video games and TV shows. Did they? But the one thing that got me was, why did Shadow look into Raven's eyes for so long?

I was sitting in a gray chair in front of a table. All the walls around me were a bright white with one huge mirror on the wall to my right. I already knew the mirror was one of those 'one way windows' where the people on the outside can see you but it looked like a mirror on my side. I've learned this from many crime shows.

What are they doing? I was suddenly snapped out of a daze when somebody in a black suit opened the door. The man quickly shut it behind him and sat down in a chair on the other side of the table. He opened up a folder, started fumbling through some papers, and looked back up at me. "So, Carly Calderone, is it?"

"Yes sir."

"I'm detective Brutus. So, a fellow friend of yours just disappeared out of thin air in the middle of school," He closed the folder and got out a notebook and a pen from under it. "was there any signs of the 'out of ordinary' that day?

"Umm, no. Not really. The only thing I noticed was she found this purple gem on the way to her bus stop. But other than that, no."

"Interesting. Did you see what took her away?" Her started to write.

"Yeah, Shadow the Hedgehog" I blurted out.

He stopped writing a looked back up at me with a slight chuckle . "You mean that black and red hedgehog thing that looks like sonic the hedgehog? My child watches that all the time. Anyway, Carly, we need to be serious."

" I'm not kidding."

"We need to find Raven. Her family is out there crying about their daughter and your making this a joke. Jokes aren't going to help us find her." His words started getting harsher.

"It's not a joke! I saw shadow the hedgehog take her and disappear."

He laid down the pen in frustration. "I'm not gonna get anything useful out of ya." Brutus got up, walked out the door, and locked it behind him.

Great...

Amy's POV:

We were at least 5 minutes away from the mall and nobody has said anything yet. So, I guess I'll start the conversation. I looked over to Rachel, who was in deep thought. "Sooo Rachel, what do you like to shop for?"

"Oh, I don't really know. Shopping's not my thing." She says still in deep thought.

"What! Ummm, I mean, don't worry. We can help you look..."  I kinda slouched down in my seat. 

"Yeah! We can help you! We go shopping all the time!" Cream shouted with excitement. 

About 3 minutes later, we arrived at the mall parking lot. "We're here!" I turned off the car and we got out. "Ready?" I asked

"Yeah!" Cream and Rachel both said.

~Time Pass~

Raven/Rachel POV:

After about 6 hours of shopping and walking around town, we went to get pizza. And let me tell ya, we shopped till we dropped! We went in, put down our bags, ordered some pizza, and sat down to eat. "Thanks for everything Amy, I really appreciate it."  I took a bite of my pizza.

"No problem, I enjoy shopping." Amy said. 

"I can tell by how much you bought!" We all let out a chuckle.

"I was wondering if you wanted to spend the night at my house." 

Then I remembered...I had to help Shadow. I looked at the clock, It was about 6:30 p.m. 

"i'm sorry Amy, I can't I have to help," I knew if I told her, she would tell everyone, ",,,Tails, with one of his experiments." 

"Okay, we should get back anyway." 

We finished our pizza and headed to Amy's car. By the time we would get to Tails place, it would already be 7:00. When we got there, I got out and closed the car door. "Maybe some other time, okay? Thanks Amy,"

"No problem. Bye!" 

"Bye Miss Rachel!" I heard Cream yell before they pulled out the driveway. 

I walked inside and dropped my bags on the floor. Then I noticed no one was on the first floor. I  walked upstairs onto the second floor and heard some one talking with Shadow in his room. It was Tails. I decided to listen in on their conversation. 

"Ok, now try to stand up." Tails said. I also heard a grunt from Shadow.

"ugh!" Shadow then fell back onto the bed.

"I think that's good for today, It looks like you'll be here a couple more days,"

"What! I can't do that! I need to get out there to look for Mephiles!."

"He can't do anything without your chaos emerald, so don't worry."

Tails got up and walked out the door .I started to walk towards him to make it seem i just got there.

"Oh hey Rachel, How was shopping?" 

"Good. So, whet were you doing up here? I thought you would be at your desk."

"No i had to check on Shadow over there."  He pointed over to Shadow"s room.

"Oh. May I go see how he's doing? I asked.

"Sorry Rachel, but Shadow had to rest, but you can go in the morning."

"Ok, thanks. Night."

"Night." Tails walked back down the steps to his room.

I went to my room and covered up with my covers. I finnaly got to go to sleep.I was so exhausted from shopping, but it was worth it.I listened the noises Tails was making downstairs as I closed my eyes waiting for sleep to come upon me.
