[DISCONTINUED] Heroes Begin (A Sonic Fan Fiction)

Chapter 9

((Sorry for the long wait, I'm very lazy! xD))

Raven's POV:

   I woke up so tired. Tails worked on his inventions till one in the morning; I wonder how he gets up so early.  I looked over to the digital clock and read the time, 10:30 A.M. Since I hate waking up late, I forced myself to get up.  If I stay in bed, it makes me feel like a bum. I walked over to my shopping bag and looked through the new clothes I got yesterday. After a long decision,  I finally found an outfit. It was a black t-shirt, orange tank-top underneath, gray skinny jeans, and black flats. I took a shower and straightened my hair with the new straightener Amy bought me.

Once I finished my 'freshening up' routine, I went to see Shadow. I was really bummed last night because I didn't get to see him, like I promised. I didn't know if he was awake just yet, but I couldn't wait. When I walked down the hall I heard Shadow talking to someone. So, being as curious as I am, I cracked the door open just a bit and listened. 

"Sorry general, I won't be able to leave here for a couple days." Shadow was talking to his watch or something.

"I'll send Agent Rouge to go in your place," There was a bold voice on the other end but I couldn't figure out who it was, " just keep an eye out Agent Shadow. General out."

With that, Shadow hit a button on his watch-thingy and laid his head back with a loud sigh. I couldn't stand back any longer  so i knocked on his door. "Shadow?"

 "Rachel? Um..Uh..I mean, Come in,"  As I walked in, he sat up and fixed his pillows behind him,  "what's up?"

"Oh nothing, I just came to check on you," I sat down on the end of the bed and criss-crossed my legs. "soooo, when i was walking down the hall, I heard you talking to someone."

Shadow's POV:

She looked even more beautiful in her new clothes than in her torn up ones, which were probably in the garbage by now. Her hair was perfectly straight, with that same style when we first met; parted to the right.

"Oh, I was talking to my 'boss' or general on my watch communicator. I work at 'G.U.N.'; I'm one of their top agents," I showed her my watch communicator, " so, why didn't you come last night?"

"Uh, Tails said I shouldn't visit this late because you needed to rest." She looked guilty but I didn't really see why she would be guilty, she didn't do anything.

"Well, I wouldn't have minded..."  I had a slight smile on my face to make her feel better. I worked because she let out the cutest giggle.

"Well I didn't want to take chances." She gave a warm smile.

Mephiles's POV:

    I walked down the long, wide hallway to my living room. Once I got there, I called to one of my shadow minions to bring me a cup of tea and sank down into my favorite recliner. I never liked the idea of a villain always living in a dark, dusty, old(ect...) castle, so I made mine very cozy and warm. Although, the outside looks a little scary since I made it from my own ice crystals.

Then, a minion ran in, placed my tea on the coffee table, and scurried away without a single word. I grabbed it and took a sip, leaving it in my hand. I put up my feet up on the table and let out a relaxed sigh. "Okay. lets see how poor Shadow is doing." I laughed as I pulled up Shadow on my flat-screen TV, which was over the burning fireplace. That laugh soon went away. 

Is Shadow talking to a girl?

 "Who is that?" I was shocked. He was laughing away with this beautiful human. She looked amazing in her outfit, her hair was magnificent, and her face was perfect. I've never seen someone so beautiful as her. I felt a tingly sensation inside of me that i've never experienced before. Was this the thing people called 'love'? I was never meant to have this emotion; I was created out of evil. I tried pushing this away but it wouldn't. I couldn't resist it.

I want her to be mine.

I listened in closer to hear the conversation better. Then i heard it. that heart sinking question rang over and over in my head. I was so mad i gripped my cup so hard that it shattered all over the floor. I shot straight up and in my chair and growled at this. 

I got up and walked off into the long hallways of my castle. I started to think of a plan to make her mine. I know Shadow wouldn't let her out of his sight now. He was like me; he wanted her and when he got her, he wouldn't let her go. Then it hit me. The perfect plan.

"Okay Shadow, have her. She won't be yours for long."
