Chapter 6

Raven/Rachel POV:

What's Shadow doing here?

Shadow's arms and legs are all wrapped up, including his chest and the right top of his head. He kept trying to get up but every time he did he would fall to the ground. This was making the thud noise. His back was facing me so he didn't see me, well not yet. I try to open the door a bit more to see better. As the door open it made a squeaking noise. Shadow froze on the floor and his ears perked up. Crap...

Shadow's POV:

This pain is killing me, i can barley stand up. No matter how hard i try, I just can't do it. I need to get back out there before Mephiles finds the rest of the chaos emeralds. Just before i gave up I hear the door open. I sit still with my ears perked up, waiting for the person to make another move. A move that could give their identity away.

There's no movement, just a quiet voice. "Shadow?"

I turn around and see that stupid human again. "What are you doing here?" I ask. She walks over and neals in front of me. "Oh nothing, just recovering from a horrible mile walk through thorns that somebody made me walk through. But let me ask you the same question. What are you doing here?" I sat there quietly before answering. "I fell..." "What do you mean by you 'fell'." She stood up, took my hand, helped me up on the bed, and sat next to me. "Continue." I looked over to the window and continued. "I fell off a cliff while fighting this guy for a chaos emerald and hit a couple rocks on the way down. I landed in the river at the bottom and Tails found me." I looked back at her but not directly in the eyes because I didn't want to get attached to this girl.

"Let me guess, this guy is...Mephiles?"

How did she guess that?

 "How'd you know?" This is getting interesting.

"Well on Earth alot of people know about people on Mobious. Well since Mephiles is evil and is like your shadow or whatever it just seems right. The thing I don't know is why does he want them?"

"If he gets all of the emeralds, he could rule over Mobius forever. Trust me, nobody wants that to happen." I looked back over to the window and saw it was starting to rain.

I guess we were having a storm. ((im actually writing this during a storm xD)) "Well now i'm gonna be in here for a couple days till i can actually walk. At least he can't do any thing with out my two chaos emerald." I looked back over to her and saw she was scared. "What's wrong?" She glanced at the window and back at me.

"N-nothing." Out of nowhere and loud thunder roared outside. She yelped and jumped back. I chuckled under my breath and I guess she heard me.

"Shut up... i'm just afraid of thunder storms, big deal..."

Congrats Raven! You have officially embarrassed yourself! Well this is a huge honor... Why did there have to be a storm tonight? I should just leave already. As I got up, another clash of thunder made me yelp. I jumped over to Shadow and grabbed his arm so tight it made him wince. Really Raven??? For some odd reason Shadow didn't push me away, he hugged me. Not just a side huge, a full out long friendly hug. What's happen to him?

All I can feel is the warmth of his arms around me. This comforted me and I forgot a storm was happening. It was like the world has stopped and we were the only things moving. This was too much to take in. I just was pulled from my family and friends on Earth today and I'm falling for Shadow already. So I resisted and pulled away. "I-I have to go."

I got up and walked towards the door. Before I left, Shadow spoke out to me.

"I don't know your name."

I hesitated and blurted out an answer. "It's Raven, but call me Rachel."

Without looking back, I walked out. I went into my room and locked the door. I laid down on my bed and covered up.

What just happened? How could something be so nice but feel so wrong... I fell asleep wondering why he hugged me.
