[DISCONTINUED] Heroes Begin (A Sonic Fan Fiction)

Chapter 10

Shadow's POV:

I asked her out. I really did it. After the whole burst of laughter, I took the chance to ask her. But there hasn't been an answer yet. I noticed she started to blush lightly. Finally, she found the words to say.

"Oh, ummm...I.....uhh..." She looked down and twirled her hair with her finger.

"I-it's okay if you don't want to, I understand. It was a stupid question anyway..." I looked away to the side. Then, I saw her lift her head up.

"yes" 

"You mean yes in 'i don't want to date you' or-"

"Yes in 'I want to date you'." She had a smile on her face as she giggled. I was overjoyed with her answer.

"R-really?"

She gave me a hug and laid her head on my shoulder. I heard a whisper come from her. 

"Yes, really."

I've never met someone like her. She was so warm and kind to me. Why did she say yes? I was mean and harsh to everyone i've met. For some odd reason, I felt close to her since we've saw each other. I pulled her close to me for a long time until we herd a knock on the door. We quickly let go as we herd a voice.

"Shadow? Is Rachel in there?"

"Yeah, come in."  Raven sat back down on the end of the bed before Tails entered.

"Oh Rachel, I got you a room at Sonic's place to stay at for now. He'll be here to pick you up in about 10 minutes," Tails spoke once more "and Shadow, do you want anything to eat?"

"Nah, I'm good." I replied.

"If you need anything just yell for me."

With that, Tails left, leaving the door open. Raven got up and headed towards the door.  "So , when you get out give me a call and we can  have a date." She gave me a smirk and also left. 

Ashley's POV:

  Last night was horrible. I can't sleep any more knowing that my best-friend is missing. I've never had a friend like her, she actually cared about me. When my Grandmother died, she sent me so many texts and calls. Other people just sent me: "I'm so sorry Ashley! Hang in there!". But that's when I was friends with Baylee Young ((Remember her? XD)) and her friends, I didn't even know Raven then. When i did, they didn't want someone from there group to hang out with an outcast, it would ruin their reputation. I tried to make it work but I couldn't. I had to chose who I wanted to be friends with; I chose Raven. I didn't want to hang with snobs anymore, i needed someone who I could trust and that would care. 

But now she's gone.

I couldn't keep myself together while I was in the interrogation room. About five minutes into it, I would be in tears. They couldn't get anything out of me no matter how many times they tried. So they just let me go home to calm down. That didn't help at all. 

This puts so much more stress on my shoulders than I had before. My parents divorced about 3 months ago and people make fun of me because I hangout with the 'weirdos'.My family doesn't get along at all, and my grandma passed away a month ago. I have more stress than I need. 

As I was on my way to the police station for more questioning, I couldn't help but think of Raven. 

Where is she? Is she okay? Does she know where she is? What if she can't come back. She's probably having the worst time of her life.

Raven\Rachel POV:

I'm having the best time of my life! I'm actually got to meet some of  the sonic characters, I've went shopping with the famous Amy Rose, and I've gotten asked out by Shadow the hedgehog! This must be a dream! I must tell somebody!  Wonder if I can call to Earth. Why didn't I think of this earlier! Wonder if I still have my phone. I looked around for my book bag that I brought with me and found my phone in the front pocket. I turned it on and began to dial Ashley's number. I thought she would be the most worried so I decided to call her first. Once the ringing stopped I heard a weak voice. "H-hello?"

"Ashley?  It's Raven."

"Raven! Oh my, are you okay? Are you hurt? Where are you! " She sounded very frantic and worried.

"Ashley, I'm fine, don't worry. You won't believe where I am. I'm in Sonic's universe!"

"Are you sure you didn't hit your head or something," She chuckled, "but seriously, where are you?"

"I'm not kidding! I'm in Sonic's universe!"  Why doesn't she believe me? It's not that ridiculous, is it?

"Uh, I gotta go. Bye." The phone then went dead. What's wrong with her?

I tossed my phone on the bed and put on a lightish blue hoddie. I got all my stuff together, grabbed my phone -stuffing it into my hoddie pocket- and ran down stairs. Once I got down stairs, I saw Sonic and Tails talking with each other. The Sonic walked over to me and took my bags. "Ready?"

"Yeah, what are we taking, Car wise."

"Not a car. We're gonna run." He gave his signature smirk and some how, he picked me up bridle style ,with all my bags in his hands, and ran out of the house and into the city.

After a quick minute or two, we were already at his house. He put me down and walked over to the door. It was in the middle part of the city, near the waterfall/fountain thingy we first met at. His house was a bit bigger than the average one but it wasn't a mansion or anything. It was painted light blue (wonder why! xD) and had white shutters.

"You coming?" Sonic was already inside while I was still in the spot where he put me down, looking at the house. I ran in and looked around some more. The inside was sorta clean, it had chilly dogs on the counter and there was a pile of stacked up dishes in the sink that were untouched for who knows how long. Though, I didn't really mind. He showed me to my room and left me to unpack. 

After an hour of putting everything away, I fell back on my bed and put my arms behind my head. Wonder when Shadow's gonna recover...hopefully soon.
