Chapter 16

Sorry guys for the short chapter, I've been so busy with school and sports. So I'm gonna work on another chapter today and hopefully publish it tonight.

Raven\Rachel POV:

Thankfully, I didn't die on the way to sonic's house. I had to stop here to get ready since this is where I basically lived. Right when I got through the door, I was hit with a million questions. Sonic was in my face the whole time.

"Why are you driving a car? Where did you get it? Did you steal it? Where were you last night after the party? Were you with Shadow?" He was coming up with questions as fast as he ran! I knew I couldn't say I was with Shadow last night. We didn't want people to know we were dating just yet. So I made up some lies.

"I rented a car with the money that amy gave me so that I could go out a shop whenever I wanted. And I stayed at rouge's house last night. So if you excuse me, I need to get ready to hang with amy." I walked past him and went to my room.

I decided not to dress up too much but not like I just threw something on.

This was going to be a hard decision...

Shadow POV:

When I pulled into the parking lot I didn't see any other vehicles. Usually, there would be at least 15 - 20 of them. Now, it was completely empty. I pulled off my helmet and looked around. "Hmm I thought I was the only one who had the day off. Maybe it was a work holiday or something and I didn't hear about it."

I walked in not knowing where anyone was. I was surprised not to see the front desk lady. No matter what, she would always come. Even if it was a holiday, she would come and check files or something.

Now, I thought something bad happened. Maybe someone was holding the General hostage. They could've made him call me to get me to come. Maybe they actually wanted me.

With caution, I proceeded on down the hallway. looking into every room that I passed, hoping I would find someone.

Then I heard a noise come from a room farther down. Staying silent as I crept over to the room.

I went in to find it dark, since the blinds were closed on the windows and the lights were off. I kept them off so the person wouldn't detect me if they haven't already. I got to the middle of the room and let my ears do the work. I listened for any movement. To my avail, I heard some scuffling in the corner to the left of me.

"Show yourself cowards!" I said, standing in my combat stance.

Then the lights turned on, so did the blinds, showing the General standing with about Six G.U.N. soldiers. Startled, I jumped back.

"W-what's going on?" I look around to the soldiers and then back at him.

"I'm sorry, did I startle you?" He put his hands behind his back.

"Tell me."

"'This' is about, who is it.....Raven?"

Chaos! Why didn't I think of this! They were still looking for her. And I just took her in front of all those people, so someone had to know who I was.

If I told them I knew where she was, they would take her back to Earth. I can't let that happen.

For the first time in years, I finally had feelings for someone. They took Maria from me, isn't that enough! I'm not going to let them take the one I love away from me again.

"I don't know who your talking about. Was it one one from a case or-" I was cut off in the middle of my sentence.

"Don't lie to me Shadow. I know you know where she is."

"Sir, I don't know who your talking about."

"Just tell us. With or without your help, we will find her."

"I said I didn't know." I had a dash of anger in my words.

"Fine. We'll just have to take you in and take a look at your house," he looked over to the soldiers, "take him to the station."

Two soldiers rushed over to me and grabbed both of my arm forcefully. They handcuffed me and started to push me down the hallway. "Let me go! I didn't do anything! Grrrrrr..." I shook them off and ran down the hallway a bit. I stopped to face towards them and pulled out my chaos emerald. "Chaos-"

"Shoot him!"

"AH CHAOS WHAT THE-"

Suddenly, I felt a pain in my left arm. Then my whole arm went numb. I looked down and saw a silver tranquilizing needle.

With much force, I pull it out and fall to my knees. My vision starts to get blurry as it feels like the world is spinning. All I hear is muffled voices yelling at each other, trying to communicate.

I fall to the ground on my stomach, hitting the side of my face when I came down since my arms are useless now.

My whole body is numb, all I can move is my head. I slowly move it towards them, only to see them running over to me. "S-stop...."

Finally, my world goes black.
