Chapter 18

READ! IMPORTANT!

((Okay, I went back into all the chapters and 'improved' them. Basically, I fixed all the "POV" titles, put everything into nice and neat paragraphs, and changed other stupid mistakes. In chapter 6 when Raven and Shadow were hugging, Tails saw them. I deleted this because I saw no use for it. It was an idea I had that Tails would tell Sonic about that scene. Soooo POOF! that never happened.))

Shadow's POV:

I awake into nothing but darkness. It's all I see from the North, West, South, and East. Basically any direction I look. There's no way of getting away from it, I'm stuck here in this unknown place. Though, it's peaceful without all the worries and regrets that I have in my life at the moment. It's nice to get away from it all and just sit here in the dark without all of it on my mind.

Though, all these problems start to flow into my mind like a huge flood. For example, how I'm being accused of kidnapping. How Sonic loves the same girl I do. And.... and Mephiles! I total forgot about him and finding the stupid Chaos Emeralds! I put this aside for too long and now he's probably got even more of them since last time we fought. All of this is happening because of.... Raven...

Oh chaos, Raven! I was supposed to meet her today at that stupid cafe. She probably thinks I ditched her...

As I start to get frustrated, voices are starting to talk. They begin very soft, but start to get louder and louder as if someone was talking right into my ear. Then, a bright light starts to cover the whole room. It was so bright, I had to close my eyes.

Opening my eyes, I see I'm in a hospital bed. I look to the right of me, there's the G.U.N. Comander sitting in a chair and behind him is a huge bay window. This time I look to the left, and notice that a nurse is putting a needle/tube {idk what they're called xD} into my arm. I guess she's talking to the commander. I try to move my arm away but she just grabs it and holds it down. "Stop, I don't need that." I say.

"Sir, you need to take this." She argues with me.

"Shadow." The Commander speaks up in a sharp tone.

I sigh and let her do her work. "I shouldn't need to take his, I'm the ultimate life form." I think.

Once she's done, the commander motions her to leave. Now we're alone and he scoots the chair up towards the bed. I sit up and groan because my whole body it sore from the tranquilizer.

"Shadow, you know I hate to do this to you," He sighs and continues," I just need to find this girl, before...." He stops.

"Before what?" I ask.

"Before people from her world start to question if our world exists. Shadow, if you know where she is, you need to tell us."

"Even if I knew and told you, you'd just take her back to her world-." I stopped quickly and started to raise my voice, "Just ask Sonic or someone else! They should know! You know me, I don't get along with people I know, why do you think I would get along with some random girl from a different world!"

He quickly slides back in his chair, startled that I would actually say something so unlike me. I don't yell at people, I just walk away or keep to myself If I'm frustrated. He slowly gets up, walks to the bay window, and sighs.

"Sir I didn't mean to-" I try to apologize but he stops me.

"No," He looks out the window, "I should be the one to apologize. I wrongly accused you of the kidnapping, but we needed some kind of lead. And with the main detail my collie, who is in her world, gave me I directly pointed to well... you."
