"it doesn't matter who hurt you, or who broke you down again, what matters who made you smile again."
Evangeline
"Evan. We have school now." Callie woke up her sister on the day they'd both been dreading, going back to school. "Ugh. This again." Evangeline got up and walked to the bathroom to get changed. Since they were Marianas clothes, they were mainly floral designed or light blues.
Her outfit for today was a purpley floral designed blouse with blue jeans and Evan's same old, ripped black converse. That was the only thing she would never change about her appearance. She loved those shoes almost more than life itself.
"Excited for your first day at school?" Jesus asked her when she sat at the table. "Not really. I haven't been to school in a few years." She slightly smiled at him.
"So, Evangeline, We got your medical records this morning. We need to take you to the pharmacy and get new meds. I can take you straight from school tomorrow. Mariana has dance, Brandon has piano, Jesus is going to the skate park, and Callie can come with." Lena spoke over the noise of everyone speaking and getting food.
"Sounds okay with me." Callie said.
"Wait. What's wrong?" Jesus asked, concerned. Lena looked at Evangeline for approval to see if she could inform Jesus. She shrugged her shoulders. Stefanie and Lena said it's all about trust now, so she was showing them she could do just that.
"Evangeline has ADHD. She's been off of her meds for too long." Lena announced. "Oh, okay." Jesus brushed the topic off, though Evan could tell he was happy to have someone who understands the troubles. Everyone could tell, really. With the way his eyes lit up when he heard it, it was kind of obvious.
"Alright! You're gonna be late. Start walking. I gotta take off work today... meeting." Lena gave all the kids sack lunches, including Callie and Evan.
"Have a good first day, you two." Stef smiled. They thanked her and left.

When the five got to school, the two new additions were amazed. "You go to school on the beach?" Callie asked Brandon. He just chuckled. "So... you got Timothy first period. He's cool. My girlfriend, Talya, could show you there. She's got him too. Follow me. I normally go up to the music room and she meets me there." Brandon started walking away.
"Callie." Evan said, stopping Callie from following Brandon. "Yeah?" She turned to Evan.
"Don't do anything stupid. Find me before you go." She spoke, talking about saving Jude after school like they had planned. "Will do." She jogged, catching up to Brandon.
"So. I can show you around." Jesus smiled to the girl after everyone was gone. "Cool." She said in the most friendly way possible. "Alright! First class?" Jesus looked at her, while she avoided eye contact.
"Timothy." She looked at her schedule. "School isn't my thing, Jesus." She laughed a little. It never was either of their thing. "Don't think about ditching. My moms would kill you." Jesus looked at me seriously. "I mean it. I don't want you in a different foster home."
