"Who did you write it about? All good song writers write about personal experiences."
He made me question myself. I wrote it the night I first met Jesus. Maybe it was about him. It was supposed to be about loving someone you can't have. Then, I realized it. I wrote a song about my foster brother.
Am I going mad?
Jesus
"Jude!" I called to Jude as he took my skateboard. "Give it back, you little runt!"
"I'm not a runt!" Jude threw my board at me, I caught the board, and ran into the girls' room.
"Mariana! Lexi's here!" I heard mama call from downstairs. I rolled my eyes, continuing to get ready for the day out that I had planned with Evangeline.

"Hey, Jesus," I heard from the doorway as I swung my bag onto my back. "Woah. Where are you going?" Lexi asked, seeing that I had my headphones on.
"Just going out for the day." I grabbed my skateboard and shoved past her, gaining a glare from her, but I didn't care as I saw Evan closing her door.
"Oh," Evan looked at Lexi. "Hey, Lexi." She smiled genuinely at her.
"Whatever." Lexi pushed past her, getting into the girls' room, and closing the door behind her.
"What's her deal?" Evan asked, approaching me. "I mean, this time. What's her deal this time?" She asked rhetorically, causing me to chuckle.
"You ready to go?" I asked her and she nodded. "Don't forget your board!"
"How could I?" She grabbed her board and smiled at me.

"So." The beautiful blonde walking next to me said. "Wanna race?" She asked, putting her board down and stepping on it.
"Oh, it's on." I mimicked her actions. "1...2...3" We both took off, her giggling like crazy, which make me smile profusely.
"Beat you." She put her foot down as she approached the stop sign a second ahead of me. "As the loser, you now have to buy me ice cream of my choice." She smiled.
She reminded me of a summer storm; you always saw it coming, but were never fully prepared. Her laugh was the thunder and her teeth were the lightning. Her hair was the clouds, and her eyes were the most beautiful part of all; The rainbow coming after. Who knew a girl with such a dark and demanding past could be such a beautiful storm.
"I don't agree to that," I smiled at her, crossing my arms. "but okay. I'll buy a pretty girl an ice cream, because I'm feeing generous today. Where to?" I asked, ready yo place my board down on the floor.
"Actually," She stopped me. "Can we just walk for a bit. You know, stop and smell the flowers, or something cliché like that?"
"Sure." I smiled to the beautiful girl next to me.

"Did Mariana seriously do that?" Evan cracked up beside me as she grabbed her mint chocolate chip ice cream from the counter and we both continued walking.
Honestly, I kinda zoned out staring at her face. When she laughed, she crinkled her nose and her tongue poked out of her teeth. I wanted to ask her out so bad, but she had already turned me down.
"So, I was thinking," She started. "I wrote that Wonderland song about you. And maybe, we don't have to be boyfriend and girlfriend, but just go on dates. Secretly, of course. Are you down for that?" She asked, as if she was reading my mind.
"I would love that." I smiled at her, taking a scoop out of her ice cream and putting it in my mouth, earning a slight shoulder punch from her.
We both threw away our trash and continued walking.
I felt our hands graze each other, and suddenly I was eager for her touch. "Would holding your hand be a stretch?"
She didn't answer. All she did was lace her fingers with mine, swinging our arms as we walked.
Her touch was warm and she felt like home. I can't do this though. I can't fall in love with her. It's just a little crush. She needs a family, not a boyfriend. ~/~
Evangeline
As we approached the door, we squeezed our hands together one last time, then opened the door.
"How was it?" Lena greeted us, hugged Jesus and smiling at me.
"Great. He bought me ice cream."
"Really?" Lena asked, her hands on her hips, surprised.
"Yeah." Jesus started walking up the stairs. "It's not happening again." I heard his door close.
"Eve, could you sit for a minute?" Stef asked me, sitting on the smaller couch. "Callie! Jude! Mariana! Jesus! All our little ducklings!" She called, making me laugh as I sat down.
Everyone came downstairs and we all got situated. I sat next to Jesus,- of course- Callie sat by me, Jude sat by Mariana. Brandon sat on the small couch alone and Stef and Lena sat on the mini couch.
"So. We know you all probably know this, but there is no dating foster siblings." Stef gave Callie and I an 'I see you' look.
"And Brandon." Stef started and I looked at her oldest child. "May we speak to you in the kitchen?"
When they left, Jude, Callie, and Mariana all moved together as Jesus and I still sat next to each other.
As the three of them emersed into their conversation, I grabbed Jesus' hand and put my head on his shoulder, sighing.
I put my face up to his ear and spoke. "Is this really a good idea?"
He leaned down to me and whispered back. "It doesn't matter if it's good. It matters if we want it. Do you want it?"
"I do."
(A/N: Before you comment that they just met, it's been a month since Callie and Evan first arrived at the Fosters home❤)
