Callie, Brandon, and Evan got on a bus that Brandon paid for with some of his chore money. Throughout the bus ride, Callie told Brandon the story of Jude's current foster home with Pearson. Evangeline just sat silently. Halfway through the ride, she noticed Brandon and Callie were sitting with their knees intertwined together.
(I don't really know how to explain it, but it was the bus scene in episode one. ❤)
When they arrived, it was already dark. Neither Callie nor Evan wanted be at this house again, but they had to save Jude from him. Even if that meant risking their lives. Brandon came up with the idea that he would distract Pearson while the girls went to get Jude.
Callie and Evan snuck behind Pearson while Brandon knocked and acted like he was lost. They saw Jude in the kitchen and tried to make their way there, but were too late and Pearson pulled his gun on them for about the fifth time in the year.
"You two! Get outta here!" Pearson yelled at the top of his lungs, grabbing Callie and trying to hit her. She was trying her best to fight back. "Let her go!" Brandon yelled.
"Pearson. This is childish. Let Callie go." Evangeline tried to say calmly, failing completely when her voice broke. She was not a coward. In fact, she was very far from it. And when she died, she wanted to be remembered as brave and courageous. If today was that day, she wanted to go out with a bang.
He let Callie go and the cops barged in the door. The two really didn't like cops but, in this case, they did. The cops took care of Person while Callie and Evangeline both ran up to Jude and hugged him.
"Hey. It's okay." Callie tried to cheer Jude up. Jude nodded, smiling slightly. Evangeline let a single tear roll down her cheek as she kneeled down and hugged her brother.
"Callie. Evangeline. Let's go." Stef, who was probably there for her job, told Callie and Evangeline, referring to Jude too. All three of them walked out to the car and saw Lena there, but not Mariana or Jesus. The car was only a five seater, meaning two seats in the front, three in the back. "Umm..." Evangeline chuckled. "Here, Jude, sit on my lap." Callie climbed in against the window, Brandon sat in the middle, and she sat against the other window with Jude in her lap.
"All set?" Stef poked her head in the car from the drivers seat. "Yep!" Jude exclaimed. He was really happy about being back with his sisters.
Brandon complimented Jude's backpack and Jude smiled his bright smile his sisters missed so much. This boy meant the whole world to them and they would do anything for him, and each other, to be happy. Callie and Brandon talked while Jude and Evangeline talked, while Stef and Lena climbed in the car, started driving, and silently listened to their conversations.
"So. What's everything you know about this family?" Jude asked, wanting to know everything. "Well. There's Mariana. She's super sweet. She's a lot like you. I think you'll like her." Evan looked up and saw Stef smile in the mirror.
"Then there's Jesus. He's really cool. Not sure if you'll like him as much. He has my attention problems too. The ones I needed medicine for."
"Brandon. He's cool. Haven't gotten to know him all that much." She said, smiling. Hopefully, that would change soon. Jude smiled too. "Tell me about them." He nodded his head toward the front.
"Well that's Stefanie, but she goes by Stef." Evan pointed to Stef. "She's a police officer, but she's a good one. She's okay. She won't take you away like the others." She saw Stef's smile fade in the mirror.
"Who's that?" Jude pointed to Lena. "That's Lena. She works at a school. And she has big, fluffy hair, like Taylor." Taylor was one of Evan's friends who was sperated from her while trying to protect her and Callie from a group of thugs from the streets.

Lena smiled, looking a little curious about who Taylor was.
The car ride flew by fast. When they got to the Adams-Foster home, Stef pulled Callie and Evangeline aside while Lena took Jude in the house to show him around.
"I know you girls are scared and you're trying to be strong for Jude. I admire that. But hiding what you're feeling doesn't help you become stronger. It gets worse if you bottle all your emotions. We want you to have a fresh start. Just because you get a fresh start doesn't mean you forget who you are."
"Stef. You can stop the speech." Evangeline tried to say in the nicest way she could. "We know we're just gonna get taken away again." Callie said, not even trying to sound friendly.
"Guys. I know you're used to being thrown away and given to someone new as the cycle continues. But we're gonna find you your forever home. Girls... You need to understand. You can not be tossed around. Do you hear me? Lena and I won't let you be. You are not disposable."
