"Then let me help cook," you whined.
He lifted you up off your feet and carried you to the living room. Just when he places you down, he kisses your forehead.
"Dinner will be ready soon," he whispers.
As he finishes preparing dinner, you check your phone and message your friends. Because no one was replying to you, you looked at your photos you took with Tao. Slowly looking at them one at a time, you realize that you didn't like a lot of them. You deleted one, then another. Tao came from behind and saw you deleting the photos.
"Honey, why are you deleting our photos when we were dating back then?" He asked.
"I looked ugly in them.. Why should we keep these photos?" You said trying to delete more.
He sits by your side and takes both your hands in his.
"You look beautiful no matter what so please stop deleting them. I want to keep them to remember our beautiful memories. I wake up to your beautiful face every morning, and even without you combing your hair, I think you're just as beautiful," he says.
You pout as you look away from his eyes.
"But other people.." You mumbled.
"And what does it matter if others think otherwise? They may think you're not beautiful on the outside, but they can't argue with me that you're not beautiful on the inside," Tao says. "Come, let's eat dinner and after we'll go to a dessert shop to eat."
After dinner, the two of you went to a dessert shop for some ice cream and cake. Tao let you eat more because he knows how much you love sweets. He reaches over to you and wipes your mouth as he smiles. As Tao drives back home, you fall asleep in the car. He drives slowly and turns off the music to make sure he doesn't wake you up. By the time he reaches the house, you were still asleep. He unplugs the seatbelt and slowly leans over to place the seatbelt back in place. Just then your head leans over to the right. He focuses his eyes on you as he felt an urge to kiss you. He closes his eyes as his lips reached closer to yours. He kisses your lips gently enough to not wake you up.
