Baekhyun Imagine

Imagine cancelling your dinner date with Baekhyun and having a movie night with him instead due to the weather outside; it was pouring. He prepared dinner while you picked a list of movies you wanted to watch with him. It suddenly started thundering, which you feared the most. You immediately ran to Baekhyun's side and hugged him while hiding your face. You held onto him from behind as he continued to prepare dinner. While he was preparing dinner, he'd sing songs so that you wouldn't really hear the thunder as much. When dinner was ready, it stopped thundering, but because you were still afraid, you ate besides him so that you could hug onto him whenever it strikes again. You had him stay by your side even when you were doing the dishes. And when you were going to shower, you pulled on his

sleeves asking him to stand at outside at the door.

"You can't leave, you have to stay here until I come out," you cried.

He nodded saying that he'll standing there for however long she needs him to be there if thats what she wanted to feel safe. The rain kept pouring, but the thunder stopped striking for a while again. After each couple minutes, you'd ask if he was still out there waiting like you asked him to just to check up on him. He'd reply yes every time while standing there by the door. While you were inside, you kept trying to rush to finish your shower so that you could immediately get out of the shower and have Baekhyun by your side before it starts thundering again. But as you were rushing, you accidentally slipped and fell. And before you fell, you hit and scraped your arm against the corner of the drawer that you had open for the hair dryer. Hearing all the noise coming from inside, Baekhyun knocked on the door asking if you were okay. You tried getting up but falling hurt more than you thought so you sat looking at your arm that was also aching. It wasn't too bad, just a bruise and scraped off skin. Baekhyun waited outside impatiently and worriedly. You finally got out and over exaggerating to him about how much it hurts despite the fact that it wasn't such a big injury luckily. He looked at your arm and saw that it started to bleed. It stung as he washed it gently with cold water. After washing it, he placed a bandage over it and gave it a little kiss to make it hurt less. He then picked you up off your feet, carrying you bridal style to the couch to watch movies. The movie started and the rain started pouring harder again that you could hear it against the windows. You started putting your attention into worrying about how it might to thunder again instead of focusing on the movie, so you cuddled closer towards Baekhyun for comfort. Just at the unexpected moment and interesting part of the movie, it started thundering again. You screamed and hid your face against his chest while covering your ears. He puts his arms around you and comforting you. Seeing that you were still scared, he paused the movie and held you closer. He started singing slow songs to comfort you and ease your fear, so you finally removed your hands from your ears and hugged him while leaning your head against his chest. It was soothing to listen to him sing, and you also were listening to his heart beat which helped block the sound of the rain and thunder. You held onto him really tight the entire time, and it got exhausting after a while therefore you fell asleep in his arms. Baekhyun kept singing to you, allowing you to have a good sleep and so that the thunder wouldn't interrupt your sleep. He sang and stared at you alseep in his arms. You started to have a nightmare about thunder.

~Dream in Reader's Point of View~

I was drenched in the rain all alone in the dark, and the wind started blowing harder and harder. It was freezing cold, and the rain just kept pouring harder and harder. I tried searching nearby places to get cover, but it was too dark. Suddenly lightning struck down just a few feet away from me. I screamed. I panicked. I fell to the floor, terrified. I looked around and saw a house just up ahead of me with the light from the lightning. I ran as fast as I could but it still seemed so far. When I reached to the house, I finally had cover from the rain and wind but the lightning seemed to follow. Without a warning, it strikes again just above me, breaking the house. I ducked for cover and it started pouring rain over me, washing my tears away with it. I tried getting up, but I just continuously slipped and fell. The lightning kept striking and striking, but it hadn't hit me yet. When I finally got back on my feet, I started running to the house next door. It was creepy that no one lived here or anywhere around here. I looked for a place that was the safest to hide on. The lightning strikes again, it was following me. I was grasping for air, hoping that this was the safest place to be. The lightning strikes again and just as I looked up, white light shined above my eyes. (End of dream)

~Baekhyun's Point of View~

As I was staring at her, she started showing signs of distress and I knew right then that she was having a nightmare. It wouldn't be good to wake her up now, but she had started crying in her dream so I thought that I'd do something. I kissed her forehead, hoping that a kiss would change the setting of the dream and make her nightmare into a happy ending dream. But just after kissing her, she woke up and looked up at me frightened. I wiped her tears away and she held onto me really tight and hid her face against my chest. I gently patted her head telling her that everything was going to be just fine. She stayed the way she was for another ten minutes, and I thought maybe it was best to get her mind off it by continuing the movie but she pleaded that I just let her rest in my arms for the rest of the night with the least noise. I turned the tv off so that there weren't any lights shining in her eyes.

"Do you want to go back into the bed?" I asked.

She shook her head.

"Do you need blankets? It'll get cold," I asked.

She shook her head again.

"What did you dream about?" I asked out of curiosity but also to know why she was even more scared than earlier.

"Thunder. Lightning. All alone in the storm," she mumbled.

"It'll be okay, it was only just a nightmare," I replied. "Right now the thunder stopped and you have me so there isn't much to be afraid of now."

I kissed the top of her head and started singing for her again. I didn't mind cuddling with her forever, but I wanted her to grow out of her fear so that it wouldn't haunt her so much. Seeing her so afraid, I wanted to be able to do something like control lightning to protect her, but all I had was my comfort. But I held her really close, keeping her safe and protecting her to my best ability. It was comforting knowing that at least she could get a good night rest in my arms. At least that was what I could do for her. But I was afraid those dreams would come again, leaving her restless so I kept singing her happy and slow songs, hoping that it would influence her dreams to be more happy. I looked at her, and she was awake.

"Stop singing. I don't want you to sing until you lose your voice. I just need you by my side like this," she mumbled as she covered my mouth with one hand. I took her hand in mine, and was relieved that she was feeling much better that she'd talk. She held onto my hands and looked at them.

"Thank you for being here for me," she said.

I brought her hands to my lips and a kissed them, telling her that I'll always be there for her no matter what, even in the smallest situations.
