Imagine KyungSoo making all your favorite dishes for dinner to celebrate your first year with him. KyungSoo has set the living room to look very romantic and beautiful. He lit up candles of your favorite scent to light up the room instead of artificial lights. It was your first time you've been on a date with this setting which made you really shy. You stuffed your mouth with food, not because you were hungry but because you felt really awkward. The good thing about the dim lighting was that it was hard to see your face flushing red. KyungSoo reached out to your hands and brought it to the center of the table. Your heart was beating rapidly and you stopped chewing. You cheeks were popped out with all the food inside your mouth. His touch brought shivers down your back.
"If you're really hungry, I can make you more but don't eat so fast because I don't want you to choke on it," he said with a slight smile.
You nodded while avoiding his eye contact. He let out a little laugh knowing that you were so shy. He went to the kitchen to make you more food so that you could eat without feeling so nervous. He had baked cupcakes and he frosted each one with a letter from your name. He carried the batch of cupcakes and placed them in front of you. Across from you, he took your hands in his so that yours entwined with his. He smiled at you for a minute before saying anything.
"Is there anything you have to say to me regarding our first anniversary?" He asks.
There was another moment of silence. He moved the batch of cupcakes to the side of the table and took your other hand so that both your hands were in his while your elbows were on the table for support.
"Well I have a lot to say," he said. "I've had the best year of my life with you. You've brought so many memories to me, and you've allowed me to understand all those love quotes. And I never understood what it was like to wake up in the morning thinking about someone as the first thing until i had you constantly on my mind every night and morning."
"Usually I think of food as the first thing," he laughs. He licks his lips then tries to find the words to express his feelings for you.
You took all your courage to just look up at him for as long as you could but it only ended to be less than ten seconds that seemed like forever. He smiled and lifted up your head by bringing your chin up with his hand. Your eyes locked in with each other and after a few seconds, he looks down at your lips and wipes away the crumbs on the corner of your lips.
"I've planned that I'd be wiping your mouth from now on, even when we all grow old and have white hair because by then you'll be my wife," he says with a cute smile.
