Imagine Chanyeol as your childhood classmate who you had a crush on. It's been years that you haven't seen him, but now you've started having contact with him again because of an arranged marriage that was set up for the two of you. Although there was a time that you separated and that there was change in that time gap, you seen him as the same person who'd never love you the way you did. You loved the idea of being with him, but hated the idea that being with him wouldn't mean anything if he didn't feel the same. Your parents laughed and talked together, and just enjoying themselves while you awkwardly sat next to Chanyeol.
"How have you been?" He asked trying to make eye contact with you.
"Give me a moment," you said as you got up off the couch.
You went outside for some fresh air. Chanyeol followed behind.
"Wouldn't you think that we were destined for each other if in the end we are together?" He asked with a smile.
It was hard for you trying to hold in the tears. Seeing him only reminded you of how hard it was when he rejected you so many times while he acted as if it was nothing. He went back inside and got you some tissues and a teddy bear.
"I still remember how much you love teddy bears," he said offering you the teddy bear.
"Do you remember when you'd always let me copy your homework and even when you got caught, you'd still help me the next time?" He asked.
There was a pause.
"I thought you were so stupid because I was just using you and you didn't even know it, but now I realized why you did that," he said.
"Can we just forget the past and move on?" You asked, feeling embarrassed and annoyed.
"No because you've always been there for me before so now it's my turn. Because you're too tired to go on now, I'll be your strength," he said.
You didn't reply to him or give any signs of rejection so he then he smiled and took the teddy bear away from you. He pulled you into his arms so that you were leaning your head on his chest.
"I'll be your teddy bear from now on. So if you want to cry, just cry. I'm here to wipe away each tear. And if you want to hit me for what I jerk I was before, hit me to ease your pain. Don't hold it in because I don't want my princess to be sad," he said.
"What would you do if I run away?" You asked with the thought in mind about leaving so you didn't have to be forced to marry him.
"I'd run away with you and take care of you," he smiled. "I'd do everything and anything to make you smile so that I could see your beautiful smile."
"What if I told you I didn't love you anymore?" You asked.
"Then I'll have to make you fall for me again," he said while acting cute.
You finally smiled.
"If you're going to keep me, you're going to have to treat me like a princess," you said with a straight face, trying to play hard to get.
He smiled then picked you up off your feet and carried you to the kitchen to make your favorite dishes. As you ate, he stared at you.
"The more I look at you, the more I find myself falling in love," he said.
You pretended to not hear him and continue to eat. You took bigger bites and filled your mouth with food till your mouth was stuffed. He laughed then looked at you.
"You're so adorable," he said as he was taking pictures of you.
You kept trying to turn away from the camera and hide your face. You decided to just run away from him but he pulled you into his arms again and held you tight.
