Song: Heartbeat-MacKenzie Bourg
"Get your ass up! I don't care if you are sick or not!" My eyes flew open and I almost fell off the bed. Elliot's arms pulled me back up before I could hit the floor. I looked up, ready to murder Lexie for waking me up so damn early. I was not the type of person that could handle being woken up, I needed sleep to function. Lexie must have noticed my death glare because she tried to smile as sweet as possible, but it wasn't working. "Oh, come on. I haven't seen you in days, give me a break." She rolled her eyes and sat on the end of the bed.
"Hey, Lexie." Elliot yawned and smiled at my menace of a best friend. I needed coffee if I was going to have to deal with her so early in the morning.
"At least someone is moved by my presence, lord. Get up, we have cakes to try," She smiled happily, her eye brows lifting. Lexie would do anything for food, even if it meant hanging out with Aleah; it didn't matter how much she despised her as long as food was involved. I sighed and climbed out of bed, grabbing my robe from the back of the bathroom door. Lexie smiled, knowing she was walking on dangerous waters. "It was either me or your mother, I thought I would be a better face to wake up to."
"You're off the hook, but you might want to go get me coffee before I climb back into bed." I said, glaring at her.
"Yes, ma'am. I'll be back." She exited the room and I yawned, glad my sore throat was gone.
"It's wonderful to hear your voice again, I almost forgot what it sounded like." Elliot said, smirking. He knew how bad-tempered I was in the morning, he's learned that over the past few days. He didn't help any, though, he only said things to irritate me further.
"Yeah, yeah." I grabbed my red and blue flannel from my luggage and a pair of white skinny jeans. I got dressed and tried to get some volume in my hair. I left it go and applied a little makeup. My face was still slightly flushed, but I brushed a pink blush across my cheekbones to give my cheeks a little color. I didn't spend much time on my makeup, I still didn't have the energy to waste on it. When I walked out, Elliot was dressed in gray pants and a black button down. He was trying to kill me, I knew it.
"You look hot, damn." He raised his brows as he looked at me, his eyes scanning my body.
"Your compliments always make me feel so good." I said sarcastically, grabbing my coffee off the stand. Lexie was sitting on my bed, her nose stuck into her phone.
"You look beautiful, Andy! You always do," He said, slipping his feet into his shoes. "Is she always this grouchy in the morning?"
Lexie nodded, "Absolutely, she's always been a giant bitch in the morning. It's her trademark. Okay, love birds, we need to get going before Queen Bitch starts complaining. God, I need booze to get through this day." She sighed and linked our arms together, guiding us down the stairs.
"Andy, how are you feeling?" Karen asked, smiling.
"A lot better. Thank you for everything yesterday." I hugged her and turned just as everyone was walking into the living room.
