Song: Where Does The Time Go-A Great Big World

I never imagined working a nightshift after coming back; I have never worked a nightshift in my life. I was nervous to say the least, I knew what kind of people came to bars at night. I wasn't the type of person to handle drunks too well; I never could keep my thoughts to myself when I was around them. I was thankful that Martha and Jackson were working with me, they were much better at keeping their cool.

Elliot wasn't too happy about me working late at night, he hated that he couldn't be there to make sure no one hit on me. He had been super busy since we got back, he barely had time to sleep. And when he did have time to sleep he was usually bugging me. I didn't mind, though, he knew how to make me happy. I wasn't sure whether we were serious or not, we hadn't talked about it since we've got back from my mother's. It had been a week since the wedding and I was itching to talk about it. We needed to have the conversation sooner or later; he was just so busy that I didn't want to burden him with it just yet.

"Hey, Andy? The guy over there wants to talk to you

"Hey, Andy? The guy over there wants to talk to you." I looked over to see Elliot, his suit disheveled and his hair just as messy. He still managed to look hot, though. I wasn't sure how I got so lucky. Was I lucky? Was he really mine? I couldn't answer the questions swirling around in my head and that made me question everything.

I took my time walking over to him but my smile could probably be seen from across the bar. He had dark circles under his eyes but his smile lit up as soon as he noticed me walking over to him. "Need a drink, sir?" I asked, leaning over the counter.

"Hm...no, I don't think so. I could use something to eat, though." He lifted an eyebrow and rubbed his thumb over my forearm. I rolled my eyes and leaned over to kiss him.

"How was your day? I didn't think you'd be getting off so early."

"Yeah, a meeting was cut early. Someone's wife was in labor," He said, running a hand over his face. "Anyone giving you any trouble?"

"I bet you're glad," I joked and he laughed, nodding his head. "Nope, I've avoided the wasted customers as much as possible. I'm surprised it isn't louder in here, it's Saturday night." I looked around the bar, noticing only a few people were left. It was only ten, so it surprised me that many people had left already. Martha and Jackson were talking with a regular at the other end of the bar, her laugh echoing off the walls.

"I hate that you work here, I worry too much." Elliot said and I turned back to him, his eyes seemed to be filled with worry.

I sighed, "Don't worry so much, I take care of myself. You should be at home resting, you've barely slept this week." I narrowed my eyes at him but he only rolled his.

"I'll sleep when I know you're safe in that bed of yours. So, finish up your last hour and then we can both go home and sleep until Monday." Elliot smiled and kissed my cheek. I knew he didn't plan on leaving until I got off so I went back to work, serving a few customers until the night was over. I said goodbye to Martha and Jackson as Elliot pulled me out of the bar, his fingers intertwined with mine.
