Song: Flowers In Your Hair-The Lumineers

For Elliot and I's last day, we helped Henry and Liz put their tree up. Liz was really into the Christmas spirit so she asked us to help her before we left later that night. Elliot and Henry were busy drinking beer while Liz and I unwrapped all the ornaments. Liz kept harassing them about not helping us and they would only roll their eyes and continue talking.

"Men." She pulled all the branches apart once the tree was up and we both started putting the ornaments on. I grabbed Elliot's hand and pulled him off his spot on the couch.

"What?" He chuckled as I handed him an ornament with his name on it.

"It's your ornament, you have to put it on the tree." He leaned down and kissed me, his hand slowly pulling me into him. He pulled away and placed the ornament where he wanted it.

"How's that?"

I smiled. "Perfect. Now, help since you're up." I pushed a box into his arms and smiled. Liz high-fived me, laughing at Elliot as he sighed and handed Henry the box. Soft Christmas music was playing in the background and with the help of Henry and Elliot, we were done in an hour and a half. The white lights twinkled perfectly against the blue and silver bulbs that were hung on branches. Elliot was in charge of the pearls and needless to say, the tree was covered with them. He didn't know the definition of take it easy, that was pretty clear. But it still looked wonderful regardless and I was pretty proud of our hard work. We decided to just relax our last day and spend time with his family instead of touring the city. We had seen enough and I liked sitting with Elliot's family in my pajamas. They made me feel as if I belonged and I hadn't felt that way in such a long time. My own family never managed to make me feel so welcomed so the feeling was new. I liked it, though. If there was any family I wanted to be apart of, it would be Elliot's.

"We did a damn good job," Henry said. We all agreed and admired it.

Matt was out having dinner with Emily's family so he missed out but assured us it was okay. It would have been nice to have him and Emily here. They were taking us to the airport later so we would get to say goodbye.

"When does our plan leave?" Elliot asked me for the seventh time today.

"Ten, babe. Do you have short term memory loss?" I asked jokingly. He squeezed my side and pulled me into his lap.

"Ha ha, very funny. I just can't seem to remember it. Do we have everything packed?"

"Yes, I packed everything earlier today. No help, thanks to you."

He kissed my forehead. "You take such good care of me."

"You better take care of her, Elliot. I'm serious. I don't care if you live across the country, I'll come just to kick your ass." Liz pointed her finger in his direction, her mom face on full display.
