Song: Say Something-A Great Big World
I watched Elliot walk towards the black SUV that was waiting for him in the parking lot of our apartment building. The air was extremely chilly as I watched him go. The robe I was wearing certainly wasn't keeping anything warm and I cursed myself for only wearing that. I crossed my arms as I shivered and watched Elliot reach for the door handle. He paused, though and turned towards me again. Before I knew it, he was running back over to me and pulling me into his arms. His lips collided with mine quickly and I reacted instantly. I wrapped my arms around his neck and pulled him closer. His hands grabbed my waist as he picked me up. I was going to miss being in his arms. I could feel how urgent he felt as he slipped his tongue passed my opened lips. He hummed and placed me back on the concrete beneath my feet. His forehead rested on mine as we both caught our breath. He really did take my breath away.
"I'm really going to miss doing that," He sighed. "I'm going to miss you so much." His fingers dug into my hips as I pecked his chin.
"Five days, babe. We'll talk everyday, okay?" Elliot had to go on a business trip for a few days and we both reluctant on him going. We hadn't been apart for months; even when we weren't dating. It shouldn't feel like such a big deal, but we were both so used to each other. We were both exaggerating but I didn't care. Were we moving two fast? I didn't know, it just felt so right. I was happy, why would I question it? I wasn't sure and I didn't want to know.
"Hm, okay. Be ready for a very sex deprived boyfriend when I get back." He smirked and kissed me once more.
I laughed, "I'll be looking forward to it. Be careful." I pushed him towards the car and he jogged over to it, sending me a smile before climbing in. He was out of the parking lot in seconds and I sighed, making my way back inside to escape the weather. I could smell the rain in the air and I was glad I didn't have to work today. Lexie decided that she missed me so she invited herself over for the day since she knew Elliot would be gone. I decided to get dressed into comfy clothes and clean the apartment up a little before she showed up. It wasn't very messy, but I hadn't had the chance to pick any clothes up from last night.
I smiled at Elliot's tie strung across the lamp next to the couch and grabbed it. I tossed the clothes into the hamper just as Lexie walked in carrying a bag of food and two coffees. "Hope you're hungry," She smirked and placed the bag on the coffee table. "Elliot leave already?" I nodded and fell back on the couch, reaching out for a coffee. "I bought him food for no reason. More for me."
"How was work yesterday?" She had called me to let me know that she hated her job and that she was quitting. It wasn't new for her, though. She had days where she hated her job more than anything in the world, but I knew she would never quit. She loved it too much, it was her dream job.
She rolled her eyes, "Stupid. I hate getting a case right before I leave and Brady knows that. He's such a prick."
"That's what you get for sleeping with him and denying him a date." I stated, even though I knew it was going to irritate her. She scoffed and grabbed her breakfast sandwich, taking a bite out of it.
