Chapter 7. Harry

Prom. She asked me to prom. I was still freaking out about it.

"Hey, Louis." I said.

"Yeah mate?" he asked.

"Do you have a tux by any chance?"

"I think so. Why?"

"I, um, am going to prom tonight."

"With who?" he asked with a smirk.

"Um...it's...er...uh...with. You know... Cassidy."

"Aha! I knew it! You two are together!"

"No! I mean, I want to, but. I don't know. I just don't think we're going to be more than we are. I don't know if she feels the same."

"Why would she ask you to prom if she didn't?"

"Because she didn't want to go alone, but she didn't want to go with Liam."

"Why would she have gone with Liam?"

"He would've made her go with him."

"Um, why?"

"Because he doesn't want her to miss her one and only prom night just because she doesn't have a date. And he was willing to go with her if that was what was stopping her."

"I guess that makes sense."

"It's Liam, Louis. Not much he does makes perfect sense."

"True," he chuckled, "But you so like her. Don't you?"

I couldn't stop the smile that broke out across my face. She made me feel weak-kneed and flustered. I couldn't grasp how breathtakingly gorgeous she had become. How did I overlook her before? Then again, the last time we were at Liam's house I was with Taylor. Which wasn't my best choice in the world, but I did like her.

"I really do. I like her a lot, Louis. I don't know how I missed it before, but she's absolutely amazing." I finally replied.

"Who's amazing?" Liam interrupted.

Uh oh.

"Uh, um, wh- how, I was, just. You know, I think I'm just- just gonna go to the Lou. Excuse me." I pushed past him.

Before I got into the bathroom door, I heard him say, "What's with him?"

I heard Louis reply, "Probably just nervous about the show next week."

That's when I shut the door. That was close. Too close. I'm sure Louis would make me spill later. But still, that was just too close. That can't happen again. We've got to ease into this. First things first, actually find out how Cassidy feels before her brother pounds me. He's protective about her. You've just got to calm down Styles, I thought to myself. Just calm down.
