Chapter 15. Stefanie
Oh God he was an amazing kisser. I've kissed some guys before, but this was absolutely perfect. He was a sexy, hot, absolutely perfect gentleman.
We broke apart, breathing heavily.
"Holy..." I said quietly. I blinked looking him in the eyes. I couldn't believe the smile on his face. If it hadn't been for one tiny detail in the back of my mind I would've smiled too.
"Umm... Liam?" I tried to get him to snap out of it. Not that I didn't enjoy it.
"Yes?" he answered.
"W-what about, umm, your, uh, girlfriend?" He looked confused.
"My what?" he asked. My eyebrows pushed together.
"Girlfriend. Sophia."
"Who?" He still looked completely lost. I felt his forehead with my hand. He felt fine to me. I put my hand back on his shoulder.
"Sophia Smith. You know, the one who your sister doesn't particularly like, but deals with her shit anyway because she cares that much about you." Wow. I was more bitter about the whole Sophia thing than I thought.
Something clicked. Realization hit his face like it fucking slapped him right across the cheek. His eyes widened. Reluctantly, he released my waist. His hand covered his mouth.
"Oh shit," he muttered. I nodded.
"Yeah," I said disappointedly.
"I am so sorry." He looked at me apologizing.
"Don't apologize to me. If it wasn't for my damn conscious we'd probably still be kissing." I looked at the ground.
He lifted my chin up with one finger. I had to look at him. He smiled down at me. His eyes were soft and sympathetic.
He leaned in and kissed me one more time. Not like before, but longer than I expected. He then kissed my cheek and took my hand. We started towards the door.
I stopped when I realized that the song had changed.
"Hey," I said, "How many times did the song change?" He blushed. He was actually fucking blushing right now. Shit I wanted to kiss him again so bad.
"Two, three, maybe six times." I gasped.
No way I could have gone under that long. Without breathing? Well apparently I did or else he's lying. I don't think he could lie or fake blush that well. Just saying. It had to be true.
"It could've been more. I'm not sure. I kind of lost count after six. I was a little distracted in my defense." I giggled. Wait, I giggled? He was good. Really good.
He smiled at the sound of my laughter. I smiled back.
"I won't tell as long as you don't." I promised him. He nodded.
His eyes darkened slightly.
"Only as long as I get to do it again sometime." I could feel the shocked expression break out on my face.
He laughed, but from what I could tell he was still dead serious about doing it again.
I muscled up the courage to reply, "Anytime you want."
Oh my gosh. I actually said it. Without cracking or stuttering or anything. I just said it. Oh this had to be the best night of my life.
