MotM- Phillipe Coutinho

(He didn't look rusty at all, he's the magic we've been missing and genuinely looked the best player for us today)

Well, what can I say this time? We like to give ourselves work to do, don't we? I know we quite like being underdogs and if we aren't then we seem to make it so, hence relying on winning the second leg.

If it wasn't for Karius we would be well and truely out of this competition, Anfield on the way or not so that commentator making out that Karius is or was ever lacking confidence can shut the fuck up, probably shoulda put him MotM but of course I love the little magician more - Karius is in the picture, what more does he want?

Coutinho! He's BACK! He's magic and we've missed him.

I'd plain accepted that they'd scored their second, just right okay that's that then, it's past Karius, they've scored, oh well but it hit the CROSSBAR! Only now I've got to bloody live out ages more of positivity, willing us on when I know it's not gonna come.

Why is it that when Sturridge goes down he's accused of diving that or he's fairly shoved over or whatever but the moment we do anything physical, it's a foul?!

Milner stopped the ball on the ground with his actual face. What. Was That! Brilliant!

We need to just fucking stop and I'll say it again STOP making it easy for their keeper (and hard for ours) and then resorting to the in the stands shots - do them all you fucking like once you've actually scored and are in the lead but not until!

Henderson, please get back and sort your midfield out! And while you're at it the rest of the team. Mane, we NEED you to do an England - I have no idea how good Senegal is and have zero experience with that cup but we need you back. While I'm at it, I have an issue with the current defense but Matip where are you?

So what do you reckon that note Sturridge had really said?

I genuinely feel like I've wasted my time tonight. I could've got my dissertation that little bit more in order with these few hours, was happy to have the break and look forward to the match and now I'm just in a proper down mood.

Next up (I really wanted to go to my parents', everyone lifted, everyone excited and ready for it, make a weekend of it and wish both halves of Merseyside a win, now I just wanna get through it on my own cos I don't think I can take Dad's complaining again) Manchester United, away Sunday 15th January, 16:00

Hey, that's my mate's birthday.

Also IF we beat Plymouth Argyle and it feels even more of an IF right now, then we'll face Wolverhampton Wanderers - my brother has claimed to support them, that's hilarious. If that one goes well I'll have to give credit to Micheal Owen after calling him a slimy bastard for smiling when he held the first ball - I was hungry and impatient for them to get on with it.
