Chapter 64: Zanes proposal

Gabbies POV

Zane had invited my out on a date tonight, I was going to tell him tonight. I had to tell him.
Zane picked my up at around 5 and he kept chatting away to me, I just nodded most of the time and laughed a bit. He parked at the top of this beautiful cliff with an amazing view, he had brought some food with him so we ate then chatted for a bit.
G- Well thanks for taking me Zane
Z- Anything for you
G- why did you do all this?
Z- I love you
Hearing those words made my stomach drop but I had to tell him.
G- There is something I have to tell you
Z- oh me too, I'll go first
G- um..
Zane cut me off but grabbing my hand and standing up.
Z- Gabbie I love you so much and I want to spend every day with you till I death do us part, you make me smile, you make me laugh and I love you so much so Gabbie...
Zane pointed over to the top of a hill and standing on top of it was all my friends each holding up letters. The letters spelled out WILL YOU MARRY ME.
Oh no.
I looked back at Zane who was down on one knee with a question mark in his hand and a ring box in the other. I began to cry because I couldn't... not after I haven't even told him yet..
Z- So will you?
G- I'm sorry.... I can't

Liza's POV

I watched Gabbie run away, down the mountain with tears streaming down her face. Oh no. I got my phone out and saw she had texted me.
G: I just couldn't say yes. I don't know how to speak to him please tell him everything that happened.😔
L: Of course.. take some time away if you need😌I'm here for you❤
G:thanks Liza❤
I showed David the texts and we went over to a crying Zane.
L- Zane we need to tell you something
Z- What?!
L- The reason she didn't say yes was because she loved you too much to hurt you
Z- That doesn't make any sense!
D- Zane calm down... just please listen this is important
L- Gabbie got drunk one night, she ended up sleeping with someone called Jax but she didn't know what she was doing. Zane, ...... she's pregnant and it's Jaxs baby. I'm so sorry
Zane cried louder than ever.
Z- But why would she leave me... I would haven't looked after that baby, I would have!
L- She thought you would have been hurt
Z- Of course I'm hurt, but I still love her
L- Then show her you love her!
Z- I will, I will make it up to her and look after that baby!
