Chapter 88: Time to tell David

Davids POV

Liza had been acting weird lately, I assumed it was because her dad died but it always felt like something else... She kept making up excuses to leave the apartment for a bit. It was a bit weird but I pretended like I didn't suspect anything.

Liza's POV

I am officially pregnant. I went to the doctor to confirm it but I still went for a few checkups. I always told David I was going shopping or something but I was pretty sure he was onto me. He knew something was up so I decided today I would tell him.
At dinner I would give him a present; it was a tee shirt that said worlds best dad on it. Hopefully this would work.

I gave David his pasta I had made and we sat down and ate.
D- Wow this is really good Liza
L- Thanks David it's nothing
D- So Liza what's on your mind?
L- What do you mean?
D- You just seem caught up in something
L- Oh right well...... I have a present for you
D- It's not our anniversary right?!
L- No David it's August
D- Phew
L- Here
I handed David the parcel and David tore it open. He lifted up the shirt but it was faving the wrong way.
D- A white tee shirt?
L- Turn it around
David turned it around and read the writing.
D- Worlds greatest dad..... No Way!
I nodded while crying and laughing. David burst out crying and gave me a huge hug.
D- I'm going to be a dad.....
David jumped up and down and swung me around. He squeezed me very tightly.
L- David... your squeezing the baby!
D- Oh sorry
David knelt down and lifted up my shirt to see the small baby bump that was forming. He kissed my belly and whispered,
D- I can't wait till you get here
He was going to be such a good dad.
