Chapter 52: christmas day pt 1

Davids POV

I'm so excited to give my gift to Liza, today was Christmas and I had hid my present in a locked cabinet in our apartment. It took me ages so I really hope she likes it!
We woke up at about eight O'clock on Christmas Day, we were going to have a big Christmas dinner with all our friends so we had to wake up early to get everything ready in time.
First we opened all the presents that our family had sent us because we decided to open ours last.
D- Haha look what Sarah sent me
It was a card that said on the front 'worst brother ever'
L- Wow looks like your siblings really love you
D- Haha please Toby is the best
L- Well now that we have opened all the gifts do you want to give each other theirs?
D- Sure
L- I'll give you yours first
Liza ran through to the other room while I waited for her to come back.
Liza came through with an oddly rapped shape. She handed it to me.
L- Come on then open it!
D- I tore open the rapping paper and in it was a jar with tones of folded notes inside.
L- Look at the notes!
I open the jar and picked out a note at random, I opened it up and it read...
Dear David,
I love you because your smile lights up the room

D- This is amazing!
L- It's 100 notes each with a different reason why I love you
I kissed her and gave her a huge hug.
D-Thank you so much I love you, now let me go get mine

Liza's POV

David came back with a messily rapped present.
D-sorry I can't rap
L- It's fine
I neatly opened the packaging and inside was a book. I looked at the note on the front and it made me smile, I flicked through each page in the book and in every page there was a different picture of us and a caption telling me how we took those pictures and how much he loved me. It was such an amazing gift that I started to cry.
D- Don't cry!
L- I can't help it, it's just so cute
D- Awww I'm glad you like it it literally took forever to make
L- I love it and I love you
D- I love you too
