They stare at each other for a few moments, and Chanyeol is so caught in Baekhyun's eyes (this is only because he's shocked – it doesn't mean anything else) that he doesn't notice Baekhyun is only wearing thin pyjamas with an oversized coat hanging off his small shoulders and holding a very, very familiar pink bear in his slender fingers.

"What – " Before Chanyeol can finish his sentence, Baekhyun throws off the oversized coat (just as burly men wearing suits and sunglasses walks up the long front step), walks right up to him, grabs his wrist, and starts dragging him away.

Baekhyun's fingers are skinny but firm as they grip his wrist, and they are warm as they touch his skin. Instinctively Chanyeol tries to pull away, wondering why this has suddenly fired his heart to beat so fast, but Baekhyun grips him tighter, so tight that Chanyeol fears he'll leave bruises on his skin.

They turn many times until they come across the grand staircase (Chanyeol isn't sure if he's seen before), and Baekhyun starts dragging him up there. The trip isn't long, but somehow Chanyeol feels like it took forever. When they finally reach the top, Baekhyun pulls him towards the first door to their left, opening the door swiftly, dragging the both of them inside, then slamming the door behind him.

"Damn you!" Baekhyun hisses, and even then Chanyeol can hear the exhaustion in his voice. "What are you, a baby? Can't you take care of yourself?"

"What the does that mean?" Chanyeol snorts as Baekhyun lets go of him. "Says the one who probably didn't sleep last night!" Baekhyun stills.

"What were you doing last night, huh?" Chanyeol knows he should stop, but he keeps going – there's an emotion deep inside him and has been there for a long time (that's also gnawing at him and won't go away) that's fuelling him to keep going. It's a feeling he gets whenever he sees Baekhyun going out without notice – without telling him – and it makes him so angry for some strange reason. "Meeting strangers? Staying up with them for the whole night? Was it fun?" Baekhyun's eyes flash dangerously with anger.

"Shut up!"

"Does that mean I was right, then?" Chanyeol lets out a smirk, but one that is only for show and doesn't actually reflect how he's feeling. Angered, Baekhyun pushes him.

"Is it always so fun, meeting so many people that you don't even remember their faces, don't even bother with their names?" Baekhyun's eyes narrow and he pushes him again. Chanyeol lets him.

"You don't even know, so don't even pretend you do. Don't even for a second think you have a right to make ty assumptions on why I couldn't sleep yesterday night." Baekhyun growls, and Chanyeol scoffs.

"Then why don't you ing tell me?" Chanyeol raises an eyebrow in challenge. Baekhyun flushes in embarrassment and pushes him again. They continue to do this until Baekhyun has trapped Chanyeol up against the wall.

Even in this situation, where they're both pretty angry at each other (for what reason Chanyeol doesn't even know), the taller can't help but find Baekhyun's lips inviting. Even though they're chapped and dry, instead of feeling grossed out like Chanyeol usually would with everyone else, instead he wants to wet it with his own saliva.

Suddenly, he realises his situation. Baekhyun is so damn close that Chanyeol can smell his faint honey and strawberry scent, can see something in those irises dance with emotion, and damn, he can feel his heart acting haywire again.

Baekhyun seems to sense some change, but he doesn't know what.

"The are you staring at?" Baekhyun retorts, annoyed, and Chanyeol does everything in his power not to lean down and capture those lips with his own.
