-Chris's POV-
I put my arm round her and we headed back towards the coffee shop,
She started getting out money for another ticket but I put my hand over hers,
"There's no need, come I'll drop you off I hired a car" I smiled,
"I-it's fine I'll get the train" she said looking around like she was scared of me.
That's odd,
"Hey, it's fine, I'll just drop you off, don't worry you can trust me"
"Alright"
I smiled and unlocked my black car,
"Traffic isnt fast here by the way"
"That's alright, more time spent with you then ha ha" I laughed,
"Your crazy" she said quietly,
I smiled and turned the heater on,
I heard her yawn,
"You can sleep I don't mind"
"It's fine, I'll wait till I get home"
"Suit yourself" I shrugged, driving slowly in traffic,-Elise's POV-
"Oh yeah where do you live" asked chris,
"East side"
"Okay, I know where that is roughly"
I rested my head back and my eyes began to slowly close, I had never felt so warm and like- safe?
Safe, a feeling that I haven't felt since-
I can't even remember what it felt to be safe. It's a thing you feel when you know that who ever or where ever you are, no harm will come to you.
I watched the street lamps pass by the window and I began to let myself drift off.-Chris's POV-
I looked over to see Elise fast asleep, for the first time she actually looked content, and relaxed.
Her breathing was calm and slow,
She was beautiful but in her own way, which I seemed to fall in love with the moment I lay eyes on her.
There was nothing from the latest trend on her, and no fashion specialist could touch her. She was the unique everyone wants but doesn't get noticed for it.
I guess she was too uncommon for people to understand, but to me a diamond in the rough. We got close to our destination,
I recognised the street that we walked down a night before.
I didn't really want to wake her up but
I didn't know what house she lived in.
I opened the door her side and unbuckled her seatbelt, the clicking sound making her sit up and jump awake,
Her eyes wide in fear u till she noticed my eyes,
The first time she looked me in the eyes, but of course only for around half a second.
"We're here"
She nodded getting out, wincing,
"Are you sure your okay you seem to be hurting"
"Just from skateboarding it's fine" she shook her head,
"But you were limping before"
She gave me a dark glare, still not looking at me fully,
"It's nothing"
"It doesn't sound like nothing let me see" I said grabbing her arm,
She winced yet again.
I gave her a look, something caught in. My throat,
"Let go"
"I'm just taking a look"
"No, get off" she said yanking my arm,
I rolled up her sleeve, and took off her bandage,
"Elise, do you?- cut yourself?" My voice broke from the heartbreak,
"No, just shit happens and you gotta suffer the consequences, " she said, her voice still a quiet yet deep tone.
"You can tell me darling, it's fine"
"Please don't call me that," she shook her head, her face showing emotion for once but this time a sad one.
"Please, you can tell me"
"Too many people in this world want to hurt me so why the hell would I want to inflict harm on myself"
She turned away and put her hood up,
"Elise wait!"
"Please! Don't follow me, you won't want to!"
I sighed and leaned against the car,
She kills me.Hey guys,
